Portland Center Stage and Boom Arts team up to bring Kristina Wong back to Portland!
Kristina Wong, #FoodBankInfluencer illuminates the ways food insecurity in the US is tied to broader structural issues while documenting Wong's own unconventional love affair with her new best friend (the Los Angeles-based World Harvest food bank). It's the whimsical musical nobody ever asked for — one that examines our access to food, government assistance, and grassroots solutions to global issues with Wong's singular blend of hilarious irreverence, cultural criticism, autobiography, avant-garde performance art, activism, and arts and crafts.
Will she pull it off? It's a SNAP (Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program, that is)!
This limited engagement runs for 2 weeks only. Be sure to get your tickets now!
Ages: Recommended for middle school audiences and older. Parents and guardians know their children best and are encouraged to use their own discretion when deciding if the production is appropriate for younger viewers.
