Meet Tom, a nerve-wracked school teacher on the eve of his first day of class. Will his students like him? How can he inspire them? His solution is a collection of songs that are none other than the educational, catchy, and, beloved Schoolhouse Rock classics! Kids will have a blast with "Conjunction Junction;" "Lolly, Lolly, Lolly;"and "Verb: That's What's Happening"-and parents will love to revisit favorites like "I'm Just a Bill," (written by local Jazz legend Dave Frishberg). Adults will love this nostalgic trip back to 70's Saturday morning television.

Schoolhouse Rock Live! is based on a series of musical educational short cartoons that aired during ABC's Saturday morning children's programming. The topics, included in over 60 songs, cover grammar, science, economics, history, mathematics, and civics. The idea for a television show that can teach through songs was initiated when David McCall of the McCaffrey & McCall advertising agency noticed that one of his sons was having trouble remembering the multiplication tables, yet he knew the lyrics to then-current rock songs. The series' original run lasted from 1973 to 1985; it was later revived with both old and new episodes airing from 1993 to 1999.

Schoolhouse Rock Live! is originally adapted and produced for the stage by Theatre BAM from the series created by George Newall and Tom Yohe. It is based on an idea by David McCall and was written by Scott Ferguson, George Keating and Kyle Hall with music and lyrics by Lynn Ahrens, Bob Dorough, Dave Frishberg, Kathy Mandry, George Newall and Tom Yohe.

The cast features Ashlee Waldbauer as Shulie, Martin Tebo as Joe, Lauren Steele as Dori, Bobby Ryan as Tom, Jordan Palmer as George, and Kitty Fuller as Dina. The band includes Sam Foulger on Drums/Percussion, Fletcher Nemeth on Bass/Banjo, and Jon Quesenberry and Darcy White on Keyboards.

The creative team includes: Aaron Levin (Director), Darcy White (Musical Director), Tal Sanders (Scenic & Lighting Designer), Ashton Hull (Costume Designer), Em Gustason (Sound Designer), and Kacey Kvamme (Props Master).
