It’s 1987, and The Sunset Strip is the Place to Be in this Glitzy & Glamorous ‘Jukebox’ Musical
Rock of Ages is a big, brash, energetic jukebox musical tribute to classic rock, with over-the-top ballads and fierce guitar, gritty glamour, and rough energy. Set in 1987 against the fabled backdrop of West Hollywood, the musical features iconic ‘80s hits such as We Built this City, I Wanna Rock, and Don’t Stop Believin’.
Rock of Ages follows the story of Drew, a small-town boy with big dreams of becoming a rock star, and Sherrie, a small-town girl with similar aspirations. But when German developers arrive with plans to raze the fabled Sunset Strip, and turn it into a strip mall, Drew, Sherrie, and the others must come together to save the strip and preserve the spirit of rock ‘n’ roll before it’s too late. Rock of Ages is a celebration of the spirit of the ’80s and the power of rock ‘n’ roll
