Alex Bookish
Konstantin
Alex Bookish is thrilled to be back with Ronin Theatre Collaborative for "The Seagull". Originally from Germany, he has performed in both classic and contemporary works at Theater Magdeburg, including “The Robbers”, “Intrigue and Love”, and “The Perks of Being a Wallflower”. After debuting in Arizona with Ronin Theatre's "A Doll's House", he has since appeared in "Reykjavik" for Stray Cat Theatre and "The Merry Wives of Windsor" for Southwest Shakespeare Company. Alex is honored to join Ronin for another classic play and thanks the cast and crew for this opportunity.
Antoinette Martin-Hanson

Toni Martin-Hanson is excited to be returning to the Ronin stage. Since graduating from Arizona State University with a BFA in Performance and Movement, she has been working on various film sets as a set dresser and has voice acted in a few podcasts including RPN and My Father’s Files. She also works with the Storybook Entertainment as a character performer, is signed with Dani's Agency and stands union proud with IATSE 336 as both a studio mechanic and their receptionist. She has also continued her educational pursuits with Dearing Acting studio by performing in their Master Class series. Previously, she has performed in Ronin Theatre's Glen Oaks as Dakota and is co-starring in a film pilot called Portal with Chronos Cinematic. She is also currently continuing her ballroom dance practice and shall be competing this Fall in the amateur circuit with her dance partner Jason Hall.

Kate Haas is delighted to jump back onstage with Ronin Theatre, where she last performed in A Klingon Hamlet (qapla!). Earlier this season, she also appeared in 1984 at Southwest Shakespeare Company and Stop Kiss at The Bridge Initiative. Other local credits include performances with Childsplay, The Phoenix Theatre Company, Stray Cat Theatre, and Rising Youth Theatre. Education: BA in Theatre from ASU. She is also a Producing Artistic Collaborator for RYT, as well as an Adult Educator at UofA College of Medicine-Phoenix. Love and gratitude to the entire Seagull team (flock?), and to Michael, for all you do.
Dhan Kumar

Dhan Kumar is psyched to be making his on-stage debut with Ronin Theater Collaborative! After graduating from Arizona State University with a couple engineering degrees, he has made his way back to his first passion: acting. He is proud to be representing Arizona Actors Academy, where he has been a student for the last year. Since the beginning of 2026, he has featured in 6 short films across Phoenix, and will be starring in 2 more capstone films this summer. He is also co-starring in the Summer Shorts production "Left to Their Own Devices" with Theater Artists Studio this summer. In his freetime, Dhan likes to swim, crochet, cook, and has recently picked up the harmonica
Carlin Thomas

Carlin Thomas is thrilled to be back with Ronin Theatre Collaborative for “The Seagull”, having previously been seen as Paddy in Ronin’s “The Hairy Ape” and Fabian in “Twelfth Night”. Carlin penned the ariZoni award-winning play, “Coming Out for Christmas” and has credits across the theatrical process, from directing and designing, to performing and stage managing. He is also passionate about accessibility in theatre, and is a professional provider of live audio description and has provided description for touring Broadway productions, WWE Live shows, Disney on Ice, Virgin Voyages, Chris Rock and Dave Chappelle Live, and more. They can also be seen in the studio audience for Season 2, Episode 1 of Crowd Control on Dropout TV. Kevin Herrmann's Phoenix area stage credits include Life is a Dream, Noises Off, The Musical Comedy Murders of 1940, Columbinus, and Twelfth Night of the Living Dead. On video, he received two regional Emmy® Awards: in 2010 for acting in the sci-fi series PROBED:signals (which was novelized into The Carter Project), and in 2011 for directing the dark comedy Cult Status. From 2015–2019, Kevin was a member of Los Angeles’ 2Cents Theatre Group, performing in Den of Thieves, Nilbog: The Unauthorized Musical Parody of Troll 2, The Hitchhiker, The Walkers, and We Will Not Describe The Conversation. He thanks you for stepping away from screens and AI to let us gather around the campfire and tell you a story.

Melody Knudson is honored to work with Ronin Theatre Collaborative and some of her favorite artists in bringing this great show to life. Favorite past roles include Vanda in Venus in Fur (AriZoni winner) and Nora in A Doll’s House (Ronin Theatre Collaborative); Ophelia in Hamlet and Marianne Dashwood in Sense and Sensibility (Southwest Shakespeare Company); Elaine Harper in Arsenic and Old Lace (Don Bluth Front Row Theatre-AriZoni nominee); Mash in Stupid F-ing Bird (Stray Cat Theatre); Maggie Cuttler in The Man Who Came to Dinner (Hale Centre Theatre-AriZoni nominee), and Lenya in Fools (Brelby Theatre Company).
Offstage, Melody is a licensed associate counselor specializing in helping young adults move forward after childhood trauma. When she’s not onstage, or in session, you can usually find her baking and hanging out with her husband and their dogos.

Jonathan Gonzales (Medvedenko) is excited to return to the Ronin stage after having previously appeared as Laertes in Klingon Hamlet and directed The Mastered Piece for their second season of Haunted Castle. Other previous roles of note include Menelaus in ASU’s Ajax, Wayne in Desert Stage’s Puffs, and Renfield in Once Upon a Ballroom’s Dracula. When not onstage, Jonathan is continually disassembled and reassembled by a cadre of gnomes. He would like to thank Cody Goulder and EC Darling-Bond for their continued support in theatre and in life.

Michelle Luz is a local actress and graduate of the University of Arizona, where
she earned her BFA in Acting. After several years continuing her training in New
York City, she returned to Arizona and has since appeared in productions with
Southwest Shakespeare Company and Stray Cat Theatre. She is thrilled to be
making her debut with Ronin Theatre Company! Outside of the theatre, Michelle
is a mother of two, a small business owner and shares a busy and silly life with
her husband and favorite person, Max. She is forever grateful for the opportunity
to continue telling stories. Thank you.
Robert Peters

Robert Peters is the guy that quoted Shakespeare at the office and
claimed The Bard has some genius stuff to say about Project Management.
Now that he's retired his greatest joys are:
1) Not having to deal with weekly emails addressed to "Time Tracker"
asking me to enter my hours.
2) Not having to sit in a meeting and listen to someone say "Let's
capture the Value Proposition so that we can align with leadership on
the revenue ask for next year and leverage our core competencies to make
incremental income move north". Then watching all the heads nod as if
this were helpful.

Review: THE SEAGULL at RONIN THEATRE COLLABORATIVE
July 14, 2026 For a second, I worried the casual vibe might lead to a lazy performance. Ronin earns the audience's confidence the old-fashioned way: by making us believe the people at the center of the story. That begins with Konstantin, Nina, and Trigorin. If that triangle fails, The Seagull becomes an interesting discussion about theatre. If it succeeds, the play reminds us that every argument about art is also an argument about love, recognition, and the impossible desire to become someone else's answer.About the Theatre
Founded in 2020, Ronin Theatre Collaborative focuses on storytelling and adding a unique voice to the valley through rarely-done or premier plays.
Ronin Theatre Collaborative is a traveling theatre company who uses site specific and guerilla style theatre tactics to share stories both timeless and of the moment.
With an emphasis on the development of new works while also leaning on the foundations established by classic theatre, Ronin looks to push the envelope on the how, what, and immediacy of what a theatrical experience can be.
Whether it is cultivating the voice of an unproduced playwright finding their foothold in the world or breaking apart the foundations of a classical work to uncover a timeless resonance, Ronin does not settle for works that are mere entertainment.
Our plays are character driven, emotional, and engaged in styles not commonly demonstrated in the Greater Phoenix area.
