The Nash has announced the debut of its premier house band, The Nash Collective, a new ensemble created to represent the venue on a national and international level. The group will make its official debut on May 9 with two performances at 7:00 p.m. and 9:00 p.m., which will be recorded live for the ensemble’s first album.

The Nash Collective is designed as both a performance ensemble and an educational initiative, bringing together musicians from across the national jazz scene. The inaugural lineup includes Hammond B3 organist Pat Bianchi, guitarist Paul Bollenback, trumpeter Ashlin Parker, tenor saxophonist Brice Winston, and drummer Lewis Nash, performing original compositions by musical director Clark Gibson.

The initiative is supported by donors Stu Siefer and Dr. Radbeh Torabi, whose three-year commitment will fund performances and annual live recordings. The ensemble is expected to perform twice each year at The Nash and release a new album annually, featuring original works by Gibson and other members.

Gibson said he looks forward to the ensemble’s debut and its role in representing the venue. The May 9 performances will function as both a live concert and the official recording session for the group’s debut album, with audiences participating in the recording process.

Tickets for the performances are available through The Nash website.
