From October 7-9, SUN STUDIOS of Arizona presents FANGORIA FearCON 2016, the state's largest, independent horror event, at the mega-production facility in Tempe, Ariz.

"Phoenix FearCON is now FANGORIA FearCON," said festival director Chris McLennan. She and her husband Jim are preparing for the 10th anniversary of FearCON. "We've come a long way since 2006 by partnering with FANGORIA."

"I used to stand in line for Fangoria's Weekend of Horrors in L.A.," added SUN STUDIOS CEO Darrin Ramage. "The last one was in 2009, so imagine how excited I am to be hosting FANGORIA FearCON!" With two sound stages and a 225-seat theater featuring digital projection, SUN STUDIOS was the ideal location.

FANGORIA FearCON will screen features and shorts, including the Phoenix debut of MODEL HUNGER starring horror film icons Lynn Lowry (SHIVERS) and Tiffany Shepis (TALES OF HALLOWEEN). Both actresses and scream queen/director Debbie Rochon (TROMEO AND JULIET) will participate in a Q&A session after the screening.

"As usual, we'll have celebrity autograph sessions and photo ops," added McLennan. Among the terror film favorites scheduled to appear are Eugene Clark (LAND OF THE DEAD), John Dugan (TEXAS CHAINSAW MASSACRE), Camille Keaton (I SPIT ON YOUR GRAVE), J. LaRose (SAW III), Robert Mukes (HOUSE OF 1000 CORPSES), Monique Parent (BLOODTHIRSTY), and horror fan Ari Stidham (SCORPION).

On Friday evening, October 7, VIP ticket holders will enjoy the first of three days access with a private party featuring special guests, live entertainment and a horrorific swag bag.

Friday-only tickets are $30 each, do not include the VIP party, but are good from 12 to 5:30 p.m. Tickets on Saturday or Sunday are $40 each with full access from 12 to 9 p.m.

There is no entry fee to purchase food and drink at the Halloween Festival outside, or to visit vendors inside the studio. A portion of the proceeds goes to Phoenix Shanti Group, which provides housing, education and support to HIV/AIDS patients and their families.

SUN STUDIOS is conveniently located at 1425 W. 14th Street; just minutes away from the ASU Tempe Campus and Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport.
