LUZIA is a Cirque du Soleil production described as a waking dream of Mexico, taking audiences on a surrealistic journey through a vibrant world filled with wonders, playfulness, and striking artistry. The show smoothly transitions from an old movie set to the ocean, a smoky dance hall, and an arid desert, bringing to the stage multiple places, faces, and sounds of Mexico drawn from both tradition and modernity. A notable feature of the production is its incorporation of rain into acrobatic and artistic scenes, a first for a Cirque du Soleil touring production. Performers Nelson Smyles and Olivia Aepli are among the cast.
