Annie and the Fur Trappers are a Boston-based traditional jazz and blues band dedicated to performing and preserving the music of the 1920s and 30s. Founded in St. Louis, Missouri, in 2016, the band is made up of clarinet, trumpet, trombone, bass, banjo, guitar, and washboard and play traditional jazz, delta blues, ragtime, and swing music. They have been a big hit at a variety of music festivals including the Big Muddy Blues Festival, The Whitaker Jazz Festival, Cherokee Street Jazz Fest, HONK!TX, Musikfest, The Cherokee Street Jazz Crawl, and The Rosebud Cafe Music Festival.
The Tri-State Jazz Society, formed in 1988, is dedicated to the preservation and live performance of traditional jazz. Concerts featuring leading professional soloists and bands are presented throughout the year. Events are open to the public and all who enjoy traditional jazz are invited to join. The society is a non-profit educational corporation supported by its members.
