LAST OF THE RED HOT LOVERS to Open at Shawnee Playhouse

The Shawnee Playhouse will present Neil Simon's Last of the Red Hot Lovers, from September 26th through October 11th, 2026. Directed by Sarah McCarroll, this hilarious, headline play stars top talent from The Poconos and surrounding areas, including Kelly Krieger as Barney Cashman, Rachel McDaniel as Elaine Navazio, Skipper DeBlasio as Bobbi Michele, and Johanna Gelbs as Jeanette Fisher.
Barney Cashman is forty-seven, happily married, the father of three children, a successful businessman, and a man going through a midlife crisis. Barney has come to the realization that his whole life can be summed up in one word: nice. Barney has also realized that 'nice' simply isn't enough. He yearns to experience his secret fantasies and dreams at least once, and so Barney decides to have an affair. He tries not just once, but three times, with three different women, and each time, something prevents the affair from happening. In the end, Barney returns to the familiar and invites his wife up to the apartment where he has been rendezvousing with the other women. Neil Simon's Last of the Red Hot Lovers examines what it means to grow older, and bodes the question, 'What do you do when it seems as if your life hasn't been fully lived?'

Showtimes, dates, and ticket prices are as follows:
- 2:00pm: October 2nd and 9th
- 3:00pm: September 27th, October 4th, and 11th
- 7:00pm: September 26th, October 3rd and 10th
Tickets are $25.00 each for adults, $20.00 each for seniors, and $16.00 each for children seventeen and under, plus a convenience fee for each ticket.
Meal and a Show tickets are $51.00 per adult, $46.00 for children ages thirteen to seventeen years old, and $31.00 for children ages four to twelve years old.
