Transport Group's The Unsinkable Molly Brown opened last month at Abrons Arts Center, starring Tony Award nominee Beth Malone (Fun Home) as Molly Brown!

Rehearsals are now underway for Transport Group's The Unsinkable Molly Brown, which begins performances on Saturday, February 8 at 22 at Abrons Arts Center. The show stars Tony Award nominee Beth Malone (Fun Home) as Molly Brown, David Aron Damane (The Book of Mormon, Big River, The Life) as JJ, Whitney Bashor (The Bridges of Madison County) as Julia, Omar Lopez-Cepero (On Your Feet!) as Vincenzo, Alex Gibson (SpongeBob SquarePants; Natasha, Pierre & the Great Comet of 1812) as Erich, and Paolo Montalban (Pacific Overtures, The King and I) as Arthur. Rounding out the cast are Kaitlyn Davidson; Tyrone Davis, Jr.; Gregg Goodbrod; Michael Halling; Karl Josef Ko; Nikka Graff Lanzarone; Kate Marilley; Shina Ann Morris; Keven Quillon; and Coco Smith.

We're taking a look at the world inside a frame to celebrate World Photo Day with a look back at the Tony-winning musical The Bridges of Madison County, which focused on Francesca Johnson's relationship with a National Geographic photographer when he arrives in Iowa. This week, the beloved Jason Robert Brown musical The Bridges of Madison County celebrates the fifth anniversary of its Broadway opening at the Gerald Schoenfeld Theatre! BroadwayWorld has just confirmed that an NYC reading is underway for The Unsinkable Molly Brown, produced by Roundabout. Beth Malone, who played the title role in both the summer 2017 Muny production and 2014 Denver production, leads the reading in the title role.

With lyrics and music by Meredith Willson, additional lyrics and book by Dick Scanlan, based on the original book by Richard Morris, THE UNSINKABLE Molly Brown will run at The Muny from July 21 to 27, 2017.

The best of Broadway will be performing FREE on six consecutive Thursdays this summer with '106.7 LITE FM's Broadway in Bryant Park 2016' - a lunchtime series that continued this week, July 28 on the Bryant Park Stage. Hosted by LITE FM's on-air personalities, the 16th annual presentation of open-air, On- and Off- Broadway lunch hour performances will run through Thursday, August 11.

Just last month, the Broadway at Birdland concert series presented songwriter Jonathan Reid Gealt, who celebrated the release of his new cd, 'Whatever I Want It To Be,' with a concert at the historic music room starring a bevy of Broadway stars.
