Today we celebrate the first Broadway revival of Stephen Schwartz's Godspell, which opened on this day in 2011.

This just in! Original cast member Will Swenson will return to the role of Javert in Cameron Mackintosh's Broadway production of LES MISERABLES for a limited time beginning this Wednesday,November 18, stepping in for Earl Carpenter as he recovers from a neck injury (cervical vertebrae impingement). Carpenter will undergo an MRI this week to determine a treatment plan and timetable for recovery.

Cameron Mackintosh's acclaimed new production of Boublil & Schonberg's Les Miserables just welcomed several new cast members for its second year on Broadway last night, March 3 at The Imperial Theatre (249 West 45th Street). Joining the cast are Tony and Oliver Award nominee Gavin Lee (Mary Poppins) as Thenardier, Erika Henningsen as Fantine, Rachel Izen as Madame Thenardier,Brennyn Lark as Eponine, Chris McCarrell as Marius and Wallace Smith as Enjolras. Tony Award nominee Ramin Karimloo will perform as Jean Valjean through the end of the summer; Will Swenson, as Javert, and Samantha Hill, as Cosette, will continue in their roles as well. Rocky star Andy Karl and his wife Orfeh just released a new mash-up song called 'No Time for Pain (A Tribute to Rocky Broadway)' with a photographic flashback on the run of Rocky, which just closed on Broadway. This video features the Rocky instrumental theme, with vocal talents from Orfeh and Andy Karl.

The Old Globe presents The Last Goodbye, a new musical fusing Shakespeare's Romeo and Juliet with the incendiary songs of the legendary singer-songwriter Jeff Buckley. Conceived and adapted by Michael Kimmel, the rock musical is directed by two-time Tony Award nominee Alex Timbers (Peter and the Starcatcher, Bloody BloodyAndrew Jackson). Choreography is by Emmy Award nominee Sonya Tayeh ('So You Think You Can Dance'), and orchestrations, music direction and arrangements are by Kris Kukul. The Last Goodbye will run on the Donald andDarlene Shiley Stage in the Old Globe Theatre, part of the Globe's Conrad Prebys Theatre Center, now through Nov. 3, 2013. Check out highlights below!
