The world premiere of Selina Fillinger’s modern farce POTUS: Or, Behind Every Great Dumbass are Seven Women Trying to Keep Him Alive celebrated its inaugural Broadway performance last night in presidential fashion, as the cast exited the Shubert Theatre stage door to roaring fans and a patriotic motorcade.

The Directors Company (Michael Parva, Artistic Director; Leah Michalos, Producing Director), by special arrangement with Ted Snowdon, present the My Parsifal Conductor, a new play by Allan Leicht, directed by Robert Kalfin. Opening Night is October 11. This is a limited engagement through November 3 at the Marjorie S. Deane Theater at the West Side YMCA (5 W. 63rd St).

A company of more than 25 stars of stage and screen entertained a packed house at the historic Saban Theatre in Beverly Hills on Saturday night (April 6) at the 29th Annual Southland Theatre Artists Goodwill Event (S.T.A.G.E.). BWW TV's Michael Sterling and Jerry Evans of the JLE Media Group were on hand for an up close and personal look at the event , themed 'Broadway, My Way,' which raised more than $285,000 for HIV/AIDS direct care, education, and advocacy services offered by AIDS Project Los Angeles (APLA). Theatre and Opera director Stephen Wadsworth's new production of Terrence McNally's Master Class starring Tyne Daly as the legendary opera soprano Maria Callas is to transfer to the Vaudeville Theatre following its critically acclaimed, sell-out run on Broadway. Master Class, produced in the West End by Max Cooper, Maberry Theatricals, the Marks-Moore-Turnbull Group, Ted Snowdon and Sonia Friedman Productions in association with the Manhattan Theatre Club, will run at the Vaudeville Theatre for 14 weeks only from 21 January to 28 April, with press night on 7 February 2012. Set design is by Thomas Lynch, costume design by Martin Pakledinaz, lighting by David Lander and sound by Jon Gottlieb. Tickets are now on sale for Master Class and further casting will be announced shortly.

TIME STANDS STILL, will end its acclaimed run when stars Laura Linney, Brian D'Arcy James,Eric Bogosian, and Christina Ricci depart the production, as scheduled, on Sunday, January 30 at the Cort Theatre (137 West 48th Street).
