As Broadway's smash hit musical Waitress gets ready to close up shop at the Brooks Atkinson Theatre on Sunday January 5th, we're heading to the diner for a look back at the show's opening night! This week, the hit musical Waitress is celebrating three sweet years since opening up at Broadway's Brooks Atkinson Theatre! To celebrate, we're throwing it back to the show's opening night with its original stars Jessie Mueller, Drew Gehling, Keala Settle, and more. The best of Broadway will be performing FREE on six consecutive Thursdays this summer with '106.7 LITE FM's Broadway in Bryant Park 2016, continuing this Thursday, July 28 (12:30pm) on the Bryant Park Stage. Hosted by LITE FM's on-air personalities, the 16th annual presentation of open-air, On- and Off- Broadway lunch hour performances will run through Thursday, August 11. This year's 106.7 LITE FM'S Broadway in Bryant Park is presented by New York-Presbyterian for Kids and TKTS Discount Ticketing Booth.

Tony Award winner Jessie Mueller and Sara Bareilles stopped by this morning's TODAY to talk about the new Broadway musical WAITRESS. Following the interview, Mueller and the show's cast performed a mash-up of the first and last song from the show.

The highly anticipated new musical WAITRESS, opens Sunday, April 24, 2016 at Broadway's Brooks Atkinson Theatre (256 West 47th Street, between Broadway and Eighth Avenue), with previews starting on Friday, March 25, 2016.
