To celebrate the reopening of the Royal Shakespeare Company’s Matilda The Musical last night at the Cambridge Theatre, the show has released a photograph from the curtain call as well as a new video which gives audiences an exclusive look behind-the-scenes at the preparations in the lead up to reopening the multi-award winning musical in the West End.

The cast of Matilda is celebrating their upcoming opening night with a new video from the rehearsal room.

In the video, Imogen Cole, Alyssa D’Souza, Alex Munden and Zoe Simon can be seen getting to grips with their gymnastic ribbon skills under the watchful eye of Elliot Harper (Miss Trunchbull).

The Royal Shakespeare Company's production of Matilda The Musical has released a video of some of the current young performers along with Miss Honey (Gina Beck) singing 'When I Grow Up' from their homes during theatreland shutdown.

The Royal Shakespeare Company's Matilda The Musical has announced that Lily-Mae Evans, Kitty Peterkin and Savannah Read will join Emma Moore in the title role of Matilda from 12 September 2017. The multi award-winning production is about to enter its seventh year in the West End and is booking at the Cambridge Theatre until 27 May 2018.

Capturing the imagination of young and old alike, the Royal Shakespeare Company's production of Roald Dahl's Matilda The Musical continues to play to packed houses at the Cambridge Theatre in London. Matilda has now been seen by almost 1.5million people since it transferred to the West End in October 2011. The production was commissioned by the RSC and played to sold-out audiences at the RSC's The Courtyard Theatre in Stratford-upon-Avon for twelve weeks from November 2010 to January 2011. Tickets are now on sale until Sunday 24 May 2015.
