The stars came out on Wednesday, July 17 to see Mimi Hines as she celebrated her 80th birthday with a special, one-night-only concert at Broadway's nightclub, 54 Below. Among those in attendance were 'Late Show with David Letterman' bandleader Paul Shaffer, from TV's 'The Nanny' and 'Happily Divorced' start Fran Drescher, and Broadway favorite Lee Roy Reams (The Producers, 42nd Street, Beauty and the Beast) and Tony Award winners Donna McKechnie (A Chorus Line, Company) , Faith Prince (Annie, Guys and Dolls) and Liliane Montevecchi (Nine). A once in a lifetime event took place on January 14th, when original Broadway cast members and creators from the landmark musicals GREASE, NINE and GRAND HOTEL reunited to help one of their own in Kathi Moss' RAMA-LAMA-DING DONG REUNION! The Actor's Fund Benefit was held at The Alice Griffin Jewel Box Theatre at The Pershing Square Signature Center, 480 West 42nd Street. Hollywood and Broadway award-winners Kaye Ballard, Liliane Montevecchi, and Lee Roy Reams are to star in 'Doin' It For Love,' a Broadway-style tribute to the standards and the stories behind the music. Opening in Los Angeles, Calif. and Austin, Texas, 'Doin' It For Love' features a 10-piece orchestra conducted onstage by David Geist, the show's music director. In total, NINE received 5 nominations including Best Picture: Comedy or Musical, Best Performance by an Action (Daniel Day-Lewis), Best Performance by an Actress in a Supporting Role (Peneleope Cruz), Best Original Song for 'Cinema Italiano', as well as Cotillar's nod for Best Actress.
