The Joyce Theater Foundation has announced the long-awaited return of Pacific Northwest Ballet, the company’s first full NYC season in six years. Presenting two mixed-bill programs, the company will play Lincoln Center’s David H. Koch Theater, kicking-off with a special gala performance on June 22 followed by two repertory programs through June 26.
Ballet Tech’s Kids Dance has been dancing up a storm for years, with annual seasons at the Joyce. This digital program features three quintessential works by Eliot Feld: A Stair Dance (2004) – originally choreographed for adults, Dotty Polkas (2008), and Hello Fancy (1992) – his first ballet for children. Rounding out the digital program, a clip of the Hello Fancy premiere will be introduced by two dancers from the original cast, as well as excerpts of students performing A Stair Dance in the wild.

Patrick Swayze, a three-time Golden Globe nominated actor, dancer, and singer-songwriter is best-known as the romantic lead in 'Dirty Dancing' and 'Ghost', and for the 'North and South' TV-series. His first professional job was as a dancer for Disney on Parade. In the 70's, the Texas native moved to New York to further his formal dance training. He studied with the Harkness Ballet Company, and then the Joffrey, before joining the Eliot Feld Ballet as a principal dancer.
The Joyce Theater Foundation (Linda Shelton, Executive Director) is pleased to present the return of The Sarasota Ballet, following its highly successful, critically acclaimed 2016 Joyce debut, from August 14-19, 2018. Under the Artistic Direction of Iain Webb, The Sarasota Ballet will present two programs featuring works by Tony Award-winner Christopher Wheeldon, Sarasota Ballet Resident Choreographer and Principal dancer Ricardo Graziano. and Sir Frederick Ashton, whose work the company has become renowned for executing with such skill and strength. Patrick Swayze made his debut in the West End revival of Guys and Dolls as marriage-dodging gambler Nathan Detroit. Swayze made his Broadway debut as Danny in Grease, has also appeared on Broadway in Goodtime Charley and Chicago (as well as in that show's tour).
