As BroadwayWorld previously reported, the musical adaptation of the hit animated film, Anastasia will play its final performance on Sunday, March 31, 2019 after two successful years on Broadway. On this day in 2012, Tim Rice and Andrew Lloyd Webber's landmark musical EVITA received its first Broadway revival at the Marquis Theatre. It was the first new Broadway production of the seven-time Tony Award-winning musical since it debuted on Broadway over 30 years ago.
Anastasia will be led by Christy Altomare and Derek Klena. Klena and Altomare have worked together before in the revised production of CARRIE off-Broadway, directed by ALLEGIANCE's Stafford Arima.
