Six years ago today, the uplifting musical Hands on a Hardbody, based on a documentary of the same name, opened on Broadway featuring Broadway favorites like Keala Settle, Jay Armstrong Johnson, and Alison Case! 'Kim Possible,' a Disney Channel Original Movie based on the beloved animated series, will premiere FRIDAY, FEB. 15 (8:00-9:32 p.m. EST/PST), on Disney Channel and DisneyNOW. In this comedic action-adventure, a live-action transformation of the original series, newcomer Sadie Stanley stars as the iconic teen hero Kim Possible along with Sean Giambrone (ABC's 'The Goldbergs') as her best friend and sidekick, Ron Stoppable. Immediately following 'Kim Possible,' Disney Channel will present a first look at the new eight-part miniseries 'Fast Layne,' with an episode titled 'Mile 1: the Voice in the Shed.' 'Fast Layne' will move to its regular timeslot with a second installment, 'Mile 2: Paid to Drive,' on SUNDAY, FEB. 17 (8:00-8:30 p.m. EST/PST). Both episodes will be available on DisneyNOW.

The Huntington Theatre Company presents the world premiere of CHOICE by award-winning playwright Winnie Holzman and directed by Sheryl Kaller (Next Fall on Broadway). Ghostlight Records recently celebrated their Original Broadway Cast Recording of the new musical HANDS ON A HARDBODY with an in-store performance and CD signing at Barnes & Noble on the Upper East Side (150 East 86th Street). Ghostlights Records has just announced that the Original Broadway Cast Recording of HANDS ON A HARDBODY will be released for digital download on July 9, 2013 and the CD will arrive in stores on August 13. The show was nominated for three 2013 Tony Awards, including "Best Original Score." The album features a cut song from the show called "The Tryers" as a special bonus track. Recently, La Jolla Playhouse's world premiere of HANDS ON A HARDBODY, starring Tony Award-nominees Keith Carradine, Hunter Foster and Mary GorDon Murray, previewed their songs in a rehearsal hall, and the production team talked about the show.

La Jolla Playhouse's Hands on a Hardbody will run April 27 - June 17, 2012 in the Mandell Weiss Theatre. The world-premiere, commissioned musical has a book by Pulitzer Prize winner Doug Wright (I Am My Own Wife, Creditors), lyrics by Amanda Green (High Fidelity), music by Trey Anastasio (lead singer of the popular band Phish) and Amanda Green, with direction by Neil Pepe (Speed-the-Plow) and musical staging by Benjamin Millepied (BLACK SWAN).
