Today we flashback to 2013, when Motown first performed on the Bryant Park stage. Motown opened on April 14, 2013 at the Lunt-Fontanne Theatre, where it played for 738 performances, and returned to Broadway in 2016. Directed by Charles Randolph-Wright and choreographed by Patricia Wilcox and Warren Adams, it starred Brandon Victor Dixon, Valisia Lekae, Bryan Terrell Clark, Charl Brown, and more.

The Broadway-bound production of BeBe Winans' new autobiographical musical BORN FOR THIS, releases its first-ever music video of the title song, starring Donald Webber, Jr., who is set to depict Winans when BORN FOR THIS comes to Broadway (theatre and dates TBA).  Mr. Winans makes a cameo appearance in the music video, as well.

Meet Nana Ageyman-Bediako (11 years old from Haringey, London), Raphael Higgins-Humes (11 years old from Greenwich, London), Rio Myers (10 years old from Lewisham, London) and Tumo Reetsang (12 years old from Southwark, London), who alternate the roles of Young Michael Jackson, Young Berry Gordy and Young Stevie Wonder in the hit West End show MOTOWN THE MUSICAL. Last night (8 March 2016) marked the opening of the West End production of MOTOWN THE MUSICAL. With music and lyrics from the legendary Motown catalogue and book by Motown founder Berry Gordy, MOTOWN THE MUSICAL is directed by Charles Randolph-Wright. Last month, due to public demand, a further 200,000 tickets were released for sale taking bookings at the Shaftesbury Theatre to 18 February 2017. And together Orfeh and Andy Karl have had an impressively long run as one of Broadway's best couples. Although they met while doing the Broadway production of Saturday Night Fever, their irrepressible chemistry became the stuff of legend when they co-starred in Legally Blonde, which garnered Orfeh a Tony nomination. Karl earned his own Tony nods for his 'physically astounding' (Vulture) performance in the title role of Rocky and last season's On the Twentieth Century. Sexy, funny, and enormously talented, the two just presented their long-awaited onstage reunion, directed by Charles Randolph-Wright as a part of Lincoln Center's American Songbook series. The talented cast of MOTOWN THE MUSICAL treated unsuspecting passengers to an impromptu performance on a Virgin Air flight to Detroit.

MOTOWN THE MUSICAL may have given its final bow on Broadway, but the cast, crew, and stage management team have gone out in the most 'Happy' way possible! Check out a video of the group dancing to Pharrell's hit song, created by cast member Lisa Nicole Wilkerson, below!

The touring production of MOTOWN the Musical sent a special 'Happy Trails' to the Broadway Production of MOTOWN, closing today, Sunday Jan. 18. With direction and arrangement by Jesse Nager (Smokey Robinson) the video features Julius Thomas III (Berry Gordy), Allison Semmes (Diana Ross), Jarran Muse (Marvin Gaye), Krisha Mercano (Suzanne De Passe), and Rod Harrelson (dance captain), all of whom joined the tour from the Broadway company. The video also has appearances from the entire company currently in Philadelphia. Check it out below!
