Each year, six to eight million dogs and Cats will enter shelters and rescue groups, but only about half will be adopted. To encourage shelter pet adoption during the holiday season, the cast of Andrew Lloyd Webber's iconic Broadway hit Cats have teamed up with The Shelter Pet Project to help these furry friends find their forever homes. As part of the partnership, the Cats cast took part in a purr-fect PSA to reinforce the importance of shelter pet adoption and how adoption has personally impacted their lives. Watch the PSA below!

A spirited audience of thousands went back to campus with stripped-down collegians who offered a sexy lacrosse scrimmage, a Pavlovian psychology experiment, a pumped-up pep rally and a fierce feminist studies class at Broadway Bares: Strip U, this year's edition of the annual highly choreographed, highly produced striptease spectacular. Produced by and benefiting Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS, Broadway Bares: Strip U raised $1,568,114 in two performances on June 18, 2017, at New York City's Hammerstein Ballroom. On April 13th, SILENCE! The Musical received the 2012 Telly Award for Use of Humor in a Television Commercial. The hit Off-Broadway show's new commercial won the prestigious honor at the 33rd Annual Telly Awards over nearly 11,000 entries from around the world. Award-winning librettist Hunter Bell and his SILENCE! The Musical stars, David Garrison and Jenn Harris, recently visited 'Theater Talk' to discuss the process of turning the classic movie thriller The Silence of the Lambs into a musical. Hosted by Michael Riedel and Susan Haskins, this episode of 'Theater Talk' aired February 24 - 27 on WNET/Thirteen and CUNY TV. Check it out below!

The new, highly provocative TV commercial for this season's smash hit, SILENCE! The Musical, is set to being airing today on most major networks. SILENCE! The Musical, the unauthorized parody of The Silence of the Lambs, with book by Hunter Bell, music & lyrics by Jon and Al Kaplan, and direction & choreography by Christopher Gattelli, opened July 9, 2011 to unanimous rave reviews. The show immediately became a sold-out phenomenon and was recently selected by Time Magazine as one of the year's Top 5 Musicals.

Due to overwhelming demand, the producers of SILENCE! The Musical recently put a new block of tickets on sale through August 27. The new smash hit musical will also be adding Thursdays at 8 PM to the weekly playing schedule beginning July 28.
