Ohio State Murders officially opens tonight on Broadway. Starring Emmy, Grammy, and Six-time Tony Award winner Audra McDonald and directed by Tony Award winner Kenny Leon, Ohio State Murders is the first show to play at the renamed and renovated James Earl Jones Theatre. Huntington Theatre Company welcomes Julia Duffy, Tony Award winner Adriane Lenox, and Boston favorite Will Lyman alongside Malcolm-Jamal Warner in Guess Who's Coming to Dinner, the opening production of the 2014 Best of Boston's 33rd season. Adapted for the stage from the William Rose's Academy Award-winning screenplay by Todd Kreidler (Holler If Ya Hear Me on Broadway, August Wilson's longtime dramaturg) and directed by David Esbjornson (All My Sons at the Huntington and Driving Miss Daisy on Broadway), this funny and poignant stage adaptation of the award-winning 1967 film opens tomorrow, September 10. Casting has been announced for 'Joe Turner's Come and Gone,' which begins previews April 24 at the Center Theatre Group/Mark Taper Forum at the Los Angeles Music Center. Winner of the 2011 Pulitzer Prize and London's Olivier Award for Best Play, Clybourne Park is described as the 'wickedly funny and fiercely provocative new play about race, real estate and the volatile values of each.' Clybourne Park explodes in two outrageous acts set 50 years apart. Act One takes place in 1959, as nervous community leaders anxiously try to stop the sale of a home to a black family. Act Two is set in the same house in the present day, as the now predominantly African-American neighborhood battles to hold its ground in the face of gentrification. Arena Stage at the Mead Center for American Theater presents the world premiere of Marcus Gardley's every tongue confess, which opens the new Arlene and Robert Kogod Cradle, the third theater space in the Mead Center. Director Kenny Leon (Broadway's Fences and last season's Stick Fly at Arena Stage) leads an ensemble cast featuring talent from across the country, including Tony Award-winner Phylicia Rashad teamed up with Jason Dirden, CrystAl Fox, Autumn Hurlbert, Jim Ireland, Leslie Kritzer, Eugene Lee, E. Roger Mitchell and Jonathan Earl Peck. every tongue confess runs November 9, 2010-January 2, 2011 in the Arlene and Robert Kogod Cradle.
