Skeleton Crew, the new play by Tony Award nominee Dominique Morisseau and directed by Tony Award winner Ruben Santiago-Hudson, is taking Broadway by storm at MTC's Samuel J. Friedman Theatre, where it opened on January 26.

A new trailer has been released for Tonya Pinkins' upcoming political horror film, Red Pill!

The Public Theater presents the world premiere COAL COUNTRY, written by Jessica Blank and Erik Jensen with original music by Steve Earle and direction by Jessica Blank. This new work began performances in the Anspacher Theater with an official press opening on Tuesday, March 3.

The Old Globe opens its 2015-2016 Season with IN YOUR ARMS, a World Premiere dance-theatre musical featuring direction and choreography by Tony Award winner Christopher Gattelli (Newsies, Godspell, Lincoln Center Theater's The King and I and South Pacific) and original music by Tony Award winner Stephen Flaherty (Ragtime, Once on This Island; two-time Oscar nominee for Anastasia). Ah, the togetherness! And the amazing dancing! HAMILTON ensemble member Jon Rua choreographed a reimagined version of the famed gym scene from WEST SIDE STORY, in which the Sharks and the Jets dance together instead of fighting. The whole dance is set to Robin Thicke and Pharrell Williams' “Blurred Lines”. Check it out below!

New York Stage and Film and Vassar College, this summer celebrating the 30th year of their Powerhouse Theater collaboration, will soon present their upcoming Powerhouse Theater Season, running from June 20 to July 27 atVassar College (Poughkeepsie, New York). Members of the casts gave a special press preview yesterday and BroadwayWorld's Richard Ridge was there to chat with the whole gang about the season!

Fela!, the critically acclaimed new musical based on the life and music of groundbreaking African composer, performer and activist Fela Anikulapo-Kuti, is directed and choreographed by Tony® Award-winner Bill T. Jones (Spring Awakening), with a book by Jim Lewis and Bill T. Jones. Sahr Ngaujah and Kevin Mambo play the title character at alternate performances, while the world renowned Antibalas and other members of the NYC Afrobeat community, under the direction of Aaron Johnson, perform Kuti's rousing music live onstage.

Broadway dominated The View yesterday, March 3. Following an interview with The Miracle Worker's Abigail Breslin, the Fela! cast took the stage to perform 'Zombie' for viewers. Valerie Bertinelli filled in for Whoopi Goldberg, alongside View regulars Barbra Walters, Joy Behar, Sherri Sheperd and Elizabeth Hasselbeck. Audience members were sent home from the taping with a pair of tickets to see the Fela!. The View airs weekdays at 11:00am EST on ABC.
