LaChanze is speaking up about the mark she made on The Color Purple musical. The actress and producer, who won a Tony Award for playing the role of Celie in the original Broadway production, states that she added lyrics to 'I'm Here.'

Chicago native Felicia P. Fields will reprise her 2006 Tony-nominated role of Sofia in the national tour of the hit musical The Color Purple, while NaTasha Yvette Williams will succeed her on Broadway

'We wanted to show our dressers how much they mean to us,' said Felicia P. Fields, who, along with cast members LaTrisa A. Coleman, Krisha Marcano and Angela Robinson, organized the first 'Dresser Appreciation Day,' celebrated between shows of The Color Purple on Wednesday, October 11 at the Broadway Theatre
