The John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts has announced that THE BAND’S VISIT, featuring music and lyrics by Tony® and Drama Desk Award®-winner David Yazbek, will be returning to Washington, D.C. from July 5–17, 2022.

The national tour of THE BAND’S VISIT, currently playing the Eccles Theater, presents a slow-moving, introspective slice of life that washes over the audience, occasionally grabbing them as it illuminates glimpses of the story each person has to tell. 

Dear Readers, I want to tell you a story about a show. You probably never heard of it because it’s not very important. Wait! No, it is important, and you should have heard of it. At least since the show in question is the winner of 11 Tony Awards including Best Musical, “The Band’s Visit”, currently playing at the Paramount Theatre. But sadly, too few do know this show but let’s try and remedy that, shall we?

THE BAND’S VISIT is a musical that delivers an impactful musical with gorgeous music and finds humor and enchantment in the ennui of a small desert town. THE BAND’S VISIT is playing through March 6th at Broadway San Diego.

Segerstrom Center for the Arts presents THE BAND'S VISIT, featuring music and lyrics by Tony and Drama Desk Award-winner David Yazbek.  It will play in Segerstrom Hall March 22 to April 3, 2022.

Broadway In Detroit announced today that tickets for the tour of THE BAND'S VISIT, featuring music and lyrics by Tony and Drama Desk Award-winner David Yazbek, will go on sale on Friday, February 25, 2022. Broadway in Portland has announced that THE BAND’S VISIT, featuring music and lyrics by Tony Award® and Drama Desk Award-winner David Yazbek, will be coming to Keller Auditorium in Portland from January 4 – 9, 2022.

Based on a 2007 movie and a premise that you wish actually happened (even though it didn’t), the musical, directed by David Cromer, is a gentle ode to open minds, tolerance, wrong turns and – sure – faith. 

Zions Bank Broadway at the Eccles announced today that the individual tickets for the tour of The Band's Visit, featuring music and lyrics by Tony and Drama Desk Award-winner David Yazbek, went  on sale Friday, November 12 at 10am.
