Renowned guitar virtuosos Rodrigo y Gabriela have made a spectacular chart debut with their acclaimed new album, METTAVOLUTION, available nowvia ATO Records for streaming and download. The duo's fifth studio LP and first album in five years, METTAVOLUTION entered Billboard's 'Americana/Folk Albums' chart at #1 with 1st week equivalents in excess of 11,000 -- Rodrigo y Gabriela's second best sales week ever. In addition, the new album arrived at #2 on Billboard's 'Rock Albums,' as well as #10 on 'Top Album Sales' and #71 on the overall SoundScan/Billboard 200. The work will be staged as a co-production with The University of the Arts as part of Simpatico's 'Season of System Failures' from March 27 to April 14, 2019 at The Louis Bluver Theatre at The Drake (302 S. Sacred Fools Launches New Works Reading Series

The Sacred Fools Theater Company is kicking off its New Works Reading Series with presentations of four unproduced plays from emerging playwrights that embrace the theatrical form and speak to the diverse culture of contemporary society. The readings will take place on four Sundays at 5:00 pm in late January and February. These readings will be held in the Second Stage at the Broadwater Theater Complex and attendance is free to the public. A series reception will follow the first reading next door at The Broadwater Plunge.
Philadelphia Theatre Company Announces Cast Of BRIDGES OF MADISON COUNTY

Philadelphia Theatre Company announces the director and full cast for the Philadelphia premiere of Marsha Norman and Jason Robert Brown's sweeping musical version of the best-selling novel, The Bridges of Madison County. The production is the second of the inaugural season under Producing Artistic Director Paige Price. For Bridges, Price has tapped Mark Martino to direct a cast rich with local theatre stars and Barrymore Award-winners, alongside actors with notable national and Broadway credits. The cast is led by Philadelphia actress Sarah Gliko and PA Native and Broadway actor Gregg Goodbrod. Recent Barrymore Award winner Amanda Morton (Passing Strange, Wilma Theater) will serve as the Music Director. The Bridges of Madison County runs February 8-March 3, 2019 at Philadelphia Theatre Company's stage at the Suzanne Roberts Theatre, 480 S. Broad Street. 11th Hour Announces New Twist In Spotlight Series, First On

11th Hour Theatre Company announces a new twist to its Spotlight Series. This annual series of one-night only events, designed to put local favorite musical theatre performers front and center, will now feature some up-and-coming Philly artists that the company thinks audiences should get know. The evenings are hosted by 11th Hour favorites. All of the performances will coincide with 11th Hour's Next Step Concert Series. These special events will be performed this season at The Proscenium Theatre at The Drake, 302 South Hicks Street. The first one is Monday, October 8 at 7 p.m. Tickets cost $24 (including service fee), and $19 for industry tickets (including service fee).
