Tony, Golden Globe, Emmy winner Mary-Louise Parker will star in the Broadway premiere of THE SOUND INSIDE, written by Adam Rapp (Red Light Winter), directed by Tony Award winner David Cromer (The Band's Visit). Ms. Parker will revisit her acclaimed performance as 'Bella' in Rapp's new play following its world premiere last summer at Williamstown Theatre Festival (New York Times 'Critic's Pick'). Will Hochman will make his Broadway debut reprising his role as 'Christopher.'

Alex 'Goldie' Golden will be making her New York City composing debut at The Duplex Cabaret Theatre on Monday, June 3rd at 7pm. An up-and-coming composer with a BA in theatre and honors in music direction from Bucknell University, Goldie has worked with various professional companies as an established music director, most recently at Williamstown Theatre Festival.

Roundabout Theatre Company (Todd Haimes, Artistic Director/CEO) has just announced a new Broadway production of Tennessee Williams' Tony Award-winning play The Rose Tattoo starring Academy Award winner Marisa Tomei as 'Serafina,' directed by Trip Cullman (Roundabout's Significant Other, Choir Boy).

SHADOWLAND STAGES (Brendan Burke, Producing Artistic Director) today announced completion of casting for MEMOIRS OF A FORGOTTEN MAN by D.W. Gregory - the first production of the theatre's 2019 season.

Found Stages and Dunwoody Nature Center are joining to present the second play in the second annual 'Wine & Reading Series,' Edith Freni's THE HYSTERICALS on Sunday, June 9, 2019. This event, which is part of a series of readings at 2pm on the 2nd Sunday of each month from May through October, will include a meet-and-greet with the featured playwright at receptions with wine and appetizers before and after a reading of their play by Atlanta's most talented professional actors.

Over the weekend, GLAAD, the world's largest lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, and queer (LGBTQ) media advocacy organization, welcomed Tony nominee Caitlin Kinnunen to perform The Prom's LGBTQ youth anthem 'Unruly Heart' with the NYC Youth Pride Chorus at the 30th Annual GLAAD Media Awards.

Erna Finci Viterbi Artistic Director Barry Edelstein today announced the appointment of Travis LeMont Ballenger as Associate Artistic Director. The Globe will have two people in this key position, as Ballenger joins Associate Artistic Director Justin Waldman, who has been at the Globe since 2011. Ballenger and Waldman will report jointly to Edelstein. Ballenger will assume his artistic duties at The Old Globe on May 1.

Garry Marshall Theatre presents Deidrie Henry in the Broadway play Lady Day at Emerson's Bar and Grill by Lanie Robertson for 15 performances May 15 to June 2, 2019 (press opening is Friday, May 17). The director is Gregg T. Daniel and playing Jimmy Powers is musical director Abdul Hamid Royal. Daniel most recently directed The Mountaintop for Garry Marshall Theatre.

On April 20th Ed Herendeen, the Founder and Producing Director of the Contemporary American Theater Festival (CATF), was inducted into the College of Fellows of the American Theatre at the John F. Kennedy Center Awards. This membership is a result of Herendeen's lifetime contributions to American theater and adhering to the Festival's mission of 'producing and developing new American theater.'

California Shakespeare Theater opens its 2019 summer season with A Midsummer Night's Dream by William Shakespeare, playing May 22 through June 16, 2019 at the Bruns Amphitheater in Orinda. The season launches with A Pay What You Can performance on Wednesday, May 22nd.
