Riverside Theatre for Kids presents the beloved Oscar-winning animated film Shrek live on stage on June 21 and 22, 2019.

Beck Center for the Arts is pleased to announce its 2019-2020 Professional Theater Season filled with signature eclectic and diverse titles that include modern classics, regional premieres, and the ninth annual collaboration with Baldwin Wallace University Musical Theatre program.  

PATABS (Pennsylvania Theatrical Arts by Brittany Stevens) will be presenting 'SHREK, THE MUSICAL' at the Eichelberger Performing Arts Center in Hanover, PA this May. This is the second time in the last 5 years that the performing arts studio will be presenting this 'bigger than life' musical. When asked 'why do the show again', director of both the musical and the studio, Stevens said that she 'was excited to have this opportunity to bring these bigger than life characters to the stage at the Eichelberger'.

Returning to the city where the very first UK tour started, audiences have just three weeks left to see the critically and publicly acclaimed production which opens tonight at Leeds Grand Theatre and must end on 6 January 2019.

The fractured fairy tale about a grumpy ogre learning to believe in his unique self is back with a new cast of youthful actors at Area Stage Company. In ASC's Conservatory production of Shrek the Musical, Jr., twenty plus student actors, ages 11 to 18, perform this irrepressible show July 20 to 22 at the troupe's Coral Gables theatre.

Director Shawn M. Mortensen expects both adults and children to giggle through the musical 'Shrek' at the SCERA Shell Outdoor theatre because, despite its thoughtful message underneath, the first objective is fun and laughter.

Area Stage Company presents a fairy-tale for grown-ups and kids alike - a high-concept, low-tech, hilariously enchanting version of the Tony Award Winning Shrek the Musical. Director Giancarlo Rodaz radically re-imagines the hit Broadway musical, based on the beloved, Oscar-winning Dreamworks animated film, into an intimate theatrical experience. Using only seven multi-talented young adult actors, an ironic attitude, and an unaffected heart, Rodaz bings new life and energy to this comedic classic.
