Variety is reporting that Tony-nominated choreographer Rob Ashford will be joining the creative team of the upcoming production of Shrek on Broadway.

SHREK THE MUSICAL will begin a pre-Broadway run at Seattle's The 5th Avenue Theatre, August 14 to September 21.

Full casting has been confirmed for SHREK THE MUSICAL, which opens at the Broadway Theatre (1681 Broadway @ 53rd St) in New York City on Sunday, December 14, 2008. Preview performances begin on November 8, 2008.
