The Rose Theater to Present ZEN TIES World Premiere, 2/20-3/8

In a gentle tale about patience and compassion, Zen Ties imparts universal lessons of wisdom and mindfulness in its world premiere performance at The Rose Theater, Feb. 20 - Mar. 8, 2015. This philosophical play follows two pandas as they encounter others in their neighborhood and discover people are not always what they seem.

Nashville Rep's DEATH OF A SALESMAN to Run 3/12-28

Nashville Repertory Theatre will present its newest production Death of a Salesman, the classic, Tony Award and Pulitzer Prize-winning drama. Death of a Salesman runs March 12-28, 2015 at Andrew Johnson Theater at Tennessee Performing Arts Center.

Today's spotlight falls upon Michael Bouson and Joe Correll, two of the loveliest people I've ever known. Creative and imaginative, they brought their hilarious hijinks to the stage when they founded The Avante Garage Comedy Repertory Theatre, a comedy improv/musical theater company that set stages afire throughout Music City, introducing some of the region's best-loved performers to audiences who still remember every joke, every laugh and every song. Now living in Los Angeles, where they are both involved in television production, Michael and Joe made a triumphant return to Nashville in late August, when they were saluted at The First Night Honors of 2014.

The Ann Arbor Symphony Orchestra's KinderConcerts Presents TOTALLY TUBA, 1/9-12

Music comes alive in KinderConcerts –free 30-minute concerts designed especially for children 2- to 5-years old. No worries about wiggly tots sitting still for a concert – they'll dance and move while listening to the music. Then they'll be mesmerized by hearing the storySnappy Little Farmyard being told with musical accompaniment. A2SO principal tuba, Fritz Kaenzig joins child movement expert Gari Stein and pianist Kathryn Goodson for a guided introduction to the instruments of the orchestra. Parents, grandparents, teachers, and day care leaders can introduce classical music to even the youngest listeners at your local libraries.

Eddie Bauer Opens Pop Up in New York City

Eddie Bauer announced the opening of a pop-up store in New York City on Thursday, November 6. The pop-up will be open through the holiday season and transform into a permanent flagship store to reopen in spring 2015. The store is located in Union Square and will serve as New York City's ultimate resource for outfitting outdoor adventures.

BWW Review: LOST IN YONKERS- a Magnificent Opening for the Metropolitan Ensemble Theatre in Kansas City

It will make you laugh, make you want to cry, and make you want to see it again, Neil Simon's Lost In Yonkers opened Saturday September 20 at the Metropolitan Ensemble Theatre in Kansas City. Karen Paisley directs the amazing production that marks the 10th season of the theatrical company and their 50th production. One member of the audience told me she had seen Lost in Yonkers in New York and preferred the Met production, with the smaller more intimate stage.
