Mid-Manhattan Performing Arts Foundation Unveils 2023-24 Season of 'Great Music at St. Bart's'

The Mid-Manhattan Performing Arts Foundation (MMPAF) is thrilled to announce the 2023-24 Concert Series of 'Great Music at St. Bart's.' This season will showcase a variety of world-class performers in two stunning venues, including the intimate 150-seat chapel at St. Bartholomew's Church and the majestic 900-seat church with its beautiful Aeolian-Skinner pipe organ.

Orchestra of St. Luke's (OSL) announces a record six performances at Carnegie Hall  during its 2023-24 season. Highlights include Lang Lang performing music of Saint-Saëns, Isabelle Faust in music of Brahms, and Principal Conductor Bernard Labadie conducting both Bach's Christmas Oratorio and an all-Brahms program centered on Ein deutsches Requiem.

Princeton Symphony Orchestra to Air Top Performances on WWFM

The Princeton Symphony Orchestra (PSO) continues its long-standing partnership with WWFM – The Classical Network (89.1FM) with a special PSO Festival of Music consisting of curated performances from the PSO archives, and broadcast over three successive Fridays, November 6, 13, and 20, at 8pm.

Women Composers Commissions Announced

Composers Niloufar Iravani, Leanna Primiani, and Hilary Purrington will each receive orchestral commissions of $15,000 as part of the Women Composers Readings and Commissions program, an initiative of the League of American Orchestras, in partnership with American Composers Orchestra (ACO) and supported by the Virginia B. Toulmin Foundation.

Carnegie Hall's Beethoven Celebration Continues This Spring

This spring, Carnegie Hall's season-long Beethoven celebration continues with a vibrant series of events featuring the complete Beethoven symphony cycle with Yannick Nézet-Séguin and The Philadelphia Orchestra, the complete piano sonatas by nine leading artists, and the complete string quartets by Quatuor Ebène, as well as workshops, lectures, and more. Beyond Carnegie Hall, public programming and events, including music, dance, exhibitions, and lectures at prestigious partner organizations across New York City highlight the many dimensions of the great music master. Together, the Beethoven celebration features more than 70 programs, creating an extraordinary view of this revolutionary composer.

At Sunday's All Mozart concert, the Princeton Symphony Orchestra (PSO) saluted ten years with Maestro Rossen Milanov at the helm by announcing the public phase of The Next 10! - a campaign celebrating Milanov's 10th anniversary while building a dynamic future for the orchestra. Manfred Honeck Leads Pittsburgh Symphony Orchestra in THE DAMNATION OF FAUST

Manfred Honeck, Music Director of the Pittsburgh Symphony Orchestra and one of the foremost conductors of our time, will lead the orchestra in two concert performances of Berlioz's rarely-performed The Damnation of Faust on Friday, March 8 and Sunday, March 10, 2019 at Heinz Hall in Pittsburgh.
