The Ghost-with-the-Most will launch the BEETLEJUICE DIGITAL LOTTERY powered by Broadway Direct on Sunday, April 10th for a limited number of $45 tickets.

Since BroadwayWorld last spoke with Eleri Ward, she signed a distribution deal with Ghostlight Records, released her album A Perfect Little Death to great acclaim, began playing live shows, and caught the eye of one Josh Groban, who was so impressed with Ward that he invited her to open for him on his upcoming summer arena tour. 

David Byrne's American Utopia has extended its Broadway run for the final time and will conclude performances on Sunday, April 3, 2022 at the St. James Theatre (246 West 44th Street).

The $250 million deal includes the rights to songs like “Heroes,” “Changes,” “Space Oddity,” “Golden Years,” “Ziggy Stardust,” “All the Young Dudes,” “Fame,” “Let’s Dance,” “Rebel Rebel,” his 1981 “Under Pressure” Queen collaboration and many more. The deal also includes his tracks from soundtracks, such as Labyrinth, and his Tin Machine projects.

A limited number of $44 seats for each performance of David Byrne's American Utopia will be sold via a digital lottery random drawing powered by Lucky Seat. Entries for one or two tickets per entrant open at 10:00am ET on the Monday of the week prior to performances. For weekday performances, entries close at 9:59am ET the day prior to the performance.

BroadwayWorld has learned that Beetlejuice will haunt Broadway once more! On Friday, April 8, 2022, BEETLEJUICE will play its first performance since March 11, 2020, this time haunting Broadway’s Marriott Marquis Theatre (210 west 46th Street).

The deal encompasses her entire Sire/Maverick/Warner catalog, including global smash albums such as Madonna, Like a Virgin, True Blue, Like a Prayer, and Ray of Light. It also includes her three most recent studio albums, MDNA, Rebel Heart, and Madame X, which will join the Warner catalog beginning in 2025.

BMI (Broadcast Music, Inc.) announced today that Byron Wright will return to the company, joining the R&B/Hip-Hop department as Executive Director, Creative, Atlanta. Wright will be responsible for identifying, signing, and developing new talent while also maintaining relationships with existing affiliates, publishers, and administrators.

Wright previously spent ten years at BMI, joining in 2006 as an Associate Director before rising to a Senior Director, where he was instrumental in producing signature events including the popular ‘How I Wrote That Song’ panels.
