Westport Country Playhouse's Family Festivities Series will present "The Story Pirates Greatest Hits Show," celebrating creative writing by students in a sketch comedy musical performed by professional actors and musicians, on Sunday, February 24. The show is produced by The Striking Viking Story Pirates.

Following the success of The New York Times critic's pick The Tricky Part by Martin Moran, The Barrow Group, under the leadership of Co-Artistic Directors Seth Barrish and Lee Brock and Executive Director Robert Serrell, continues its 2018-2019 season with the world premiere of AWAKE, written and directed by K. Lorrel Manning.

Westport Country Playhouse announces its 2019 Family Festivities Series on selected Sundays from January through April, featuring musical productions based on classic and contemporary children's stories.  The four-show series includes musical versions of the classic, "The Wizard of Oz," and the bestselling book, "Angelina Ballerina."  Performances are at 1 and 4 p.m., and are approximately one-hour in length. Tickets, at $20 each, are now on sale.

The Capitol Steps return to Mayo Performing Arts Center to offer their comedic take on all things political on Friday, January 11 at 8 pm. Tickets are $29-$59.

Emerging theater for young audiences, Rebel Playhouse, is thrilled to announce the cast of its next world premiere production, THE FANTASTICAL DANGEROUS JOURNEY OF Q, written by Ric Averill with music and additional lyrics by Dax Dupuy, directed by Sarah Sutliff, with music direction by Christina Bottley, and co-presented by The Theater at the 14th Street Y. The show tells the story of Q, an upper elementary student struggling with gender and identity issues.

Baltimore Center Stage has announced the four shows that will comprise the 2018/19 Family Series. On the heels of last season's sell-out performances of Junie B. Jones, Center Stage has expanded the Family Series to include eight performances to take place on four Sundays throughout the season.

Producer John Lant is pleased to announce another extension of the Off-Broadway premiere, and newest hit, WICKED FROZEN, the untold parody musical of some magic ice witch princesses (with unexpected emotional bite), as it rocks out until the end of 2018, and is set to continue through the New Year. The musical adaptation is directed by Teresa K. Pond based on the original direction of Suzu McConnell-Wood.
