Cyndi Lauper - the Grammy, Emmy and Tony-winning icon and advocate - has announced that her annual benefit concert, Cyndi Lauper & Friends: Home for the Holidays will take place in Los Angeles for the first time. The ninth edition of this star-studded evening benefiting True Colors United features Cyndi, her band, and a host of special guests. The concert will happen at The Novo at L.A. Live on Tuesday, December 10. The artist line-up will be announced soon and tickets will go on sale on Friday, October 18th at AXS.com.

Peak Performances presents Lena Herzog's Last Whispers, an immersive AV experience dedicated to vanishing languages, accompanied by panel discussions on select days, October 16-20 at the Alexander Kasser Theater at Montclair State University. Trained in linguistics and philosophy, Herzog, also as an acclaimed photographer, has taken an ongoing interest in indigenous languages, which are disappearing at an astonishing rate. Jaelee Roberts Drops New Single 'One's Real Life'

Bluegrass wunderkind Jaelee Roberts' newest single, 'One's Real Life,' originated in a dream. Roberts recalls, 'In this dream, Harley Allen and I were writing a song. When I woke up, I could vividly remember the melody and the hook ... 'one's real life' ... and a few other lines. It was enough to get me thinking about the differences between what we see in people's photos and the reality of their lives, so I had a pretty good start on it from the beginning.'

David Alan Thornton makes his Greenroom 42 debut in Acting Out! The Songs of David Alan Thornton. Nora Schell (Jagged Little Pill), Emily Behny (Wicked [national tour]), Bill Coyne (The Deuce [HBO]) and more bring new energy to Thornton's music in a one-of-a-kind evening of intimacy, fun, and feeling. All proceeds from the concert will go to benefit Playhouse Creatures Theatre Company's Little Creatures Act Out program, which brings performing arts opportunities to underserved children in NYC.
