Concert aficionados from around the country will want to mark their calendars for Music Mountain, America's oldest continuing summer chamber music festival, when it kicks off its gala 85th Anniversary Season beginning Today, June 7th! To commemorate the milestone, Music Mountain will continue their season past Labor Day - making the 85th Anniversary Season the longest running season since the 1930s! The summer will include returning chamber ensembles, first time guests and the ever-popular Today Evening Twilight Series featuring Jazz, Country, and Folk Music. Concerts are scheduled through September 14.

Music Mountain, America's oldest continuing summer chamber music festival, continues its 85th anniversary season with a mid-season benefit concert featuring the acclaimed Juilliard String Quartet on Sunday, June 22nd (3PM) performing a program including works never previously performed at Music Mountain. Also, the weekend welcomes back America's foremost Gilbert & Sullivan repertory ensemble, the New York Gilbert & Sullivan Players, on Saturday, June 21st (6:30PM) with a special pre-concert dinner at The Falls Village Inn (5PM). This weekend's concerts are an example of the world class caliber of talent that will appear at Music Mountain this summer. Chamber, jazz, and country concerts are scheduled thru September 14.

Governor & Mrs. Dannel Malloy have lent their names as Honorary Chairs for Music Mountain's Gala & Concert to celebrate America's Oldest Continuing Summer Chamber Music Festival's 85th Anniversary Season. Concert aficionados from around the country will be attending the Saturday, June 7th festivities which includes a gala reception at 5:30pm and a 6:30pm concert featuring the esteemed and nationally acclaimed Emerson String Quartet. The Emerson will perform a very special program featuring the Music Mountain premiere of Haydn: Quartet in G Minor, Op. 20, No. 3; Mendelssohn: Quartet in F Minor, Op. 80 - being performed for only the 4th time in Music Mountain's rich 85 year history; and Schubert: Quartet D Minor, 'Death and the Maiden.' --- one of Music Mountain's favorite, in its 29th Music Mountain performance. The extended summer season will continue each weekend with a distinguished roster of quartets, jazz musicians, country bands, and guest artists, including many returning favorites and first time guests. The Town Hall 2014 Summer Season: Broadway Preludes will launch on Friday, June 27 at 8PM with the American premiere of a lost Cole Porter treasure, The Ambassador Revue.

CYNTHIA SAYER, the internationally celebrated jazz banjoist, will lead her all-star quartet in 'The Banjo Show' at Joe's Pub at the Public in a rare New York City concert appearance on Friday, March 7 at 7:00 PM.
