This Saturday REVOLVE Dance Project, a Providence-based collaborative arts company, will launch its inaugural performance event on Saturday, July 24 at 4pm and 7pm in the open air at the Temple of Music at Roger Williams Park.

Ballet Sun Valley announced today additional program details for its in-person, outdoor performances at the iconic, open-air Sun Valley Pavilion, July 12 & 13 and August 22 & 23. 

SF Ballet School Artistic Director Helgi Tomasson and Director Patrick Armand will present the virtual SF Ballet School Virtual Festival on Thursday, June 17, 2021, beginning at 6 pm PDT with dinner at a virtual table followed by a 7 pm PDT program.

An organization that has a sweet spot in my heart is First State Ballet Theatre.

Festival Ballet Providence (FBP) will present Viktor Plotnikov's fiery and romantic Carmen in the fall program of the Company's award-winning Black Box series, UP CLOSE ON HOPE. November 1-3 and 8-10, 2019. The show takes place in FBP's intimate 95-seat Black Box Theatre, 825 Hope Street, Providence, RI. First State Ballet Theatre stages a completely original DRACULA at the baby grand October 18 - 20. Choreography is by Viktor Plotnikov, a longtime collaborator of Artistic Director Pasha Kambalov. Festival Ballet Providence (FBP) Chatterbox Theatre series will present Three Little Pigs for two consecutive weekends, March 23-24 and March 30-31 in FBP's Black Box Theatre. The ChatterBox series is celebrating 10 years, having delighted children and families with its adorable, rich, funny, memorable, sweet presentations of original new storytelling and choreography. 

This weekend at Veterans Memorial Auditorium, the Festival Ballet Providence danced MIRRORS, which is really three short modern ballets- 1934's 'Serenade' with music by Tchaikovsky and choreography by George Ballentine; 'Coma' with music by Arvo Part and choreography by Viktor Plotnikov from 2007; and 'Smoke and Mirrors' from 2016 with music by Lucas Vidal and choreography by Yury Yanowsky. Right now, my spell check is going crazy. 'The concept of reflection inspired this program,' said Mihailo (Misha) Djuric, Artistic Director of FBP, adding, 'Each ballet highlights the dynamic nature of contemporary choreography. By combining these three different pieces, we hope to introduce new audiences to the emotional and transformative power of dance.' Festival Ballet's UP CLOSE ON HOPE series is always an opportunity for the company to branch out from the classical ballet most are familiar with to really show the range and talent of the dancers and choreographers.  This fall program features five world premiere pieces largely in a more modern style that showcase some outstanding choreography by resident choreographer Viktor Plotnikov and a star making performance by dancer Tegan Rich. It's a night of terrific performances, and unexpected delights.

Festival Ballet Providence (FBP) festivalballetprovidence.org is excited to announce Up Close on Hope, Program 1, an evening  featuring choreographic premieres in FBP's state-of-the-art Black Box Theatre at 825 Hope Street in Providence.  This unique series, presented in the Fall and the Spring, provides a thrilling experience in a profoundly intimate space, placing dancers within feet of the audience as they perform original works of emerging and established choreographers. The program will take place on the consecutive weekends of November 9 - 11 and November 16-17, 2018, with rotating casts of dancers making for a different debut performance each night.

Festival Ballet Theatre (FBT), Orange County's resident professional ballet company, is pleased to announce its 2018-2019 season. This year marks the company's 30th anniversary and is proud to present a repertory of innovative contemporary works and acclaimed classical ballets.  The season starts with Ovation, a conceptual tour de force in three pieces by contemporary choreographers on October 13 and 14, followed by The Nutcracker from December 8 to 24, Sleeping Beauty on March 23 and 24, concluding with Gala of the Stars in August 2019 (venue to be announced).

Festival Ballet Providence School has begun its 2018-2019 academic year and entered a new chapter in its history with Vilia Putrius as its new director. A leading dancer with Festival Ballet Providence for 11 seasons, Putrius was appointed School Director last month, taking over for Mary Ann Mayer who stepped down to pursue another opportunity in dance education.
