After a sold-out run, Follies returns to the NT in 2019. Stephen Sondheim's legendary musical includes such classic songs as 'Broadway Baby', 'I'm Still Here' and 'Losing My Mind'. Featuring a cast of 40 and an orchestra of 21, Folliesis directed by Dominic Cooke. Tracie Bennett, Janie Dee and Peter Forbes return to reprise their roles, with Alexander Hanson and Joanna Riding joining the cast as Ben and Sally.
Ahead of the public ballot for tickets opening on Thursday 22 November, the National Theatre have released the image for When We Have Sufficiently Tortured Each Other, a new play by Martin Crimp, directed by Katie Mitchell, with a cast including Cate Blanchett, who makes her National Theatre debut alongside Stephen Dillane returning to the National Theatre for the first time since The Coast of Utopia in 2002. They are joined on stage by Babirye Bukilwa, Jessica Gunning, Emma Hindle and Craig Miller.
Emma Rice is back after her kerfuffle with Shakespeare's Globe, debuting her brand new company with an adaptation of Angela Carter's novel of the same name. After being shown out of the Bard's doors last April, and following the company's funding controversy, she silences doubters by taking up residency at the Old Vic with a gloriously colourful and unashamedly bold first show.

Programming for American Ballet Theatre's 2018 Fall season, October 17-28 at the David H. Koch Theater, was announced today by Artistic Director Kevin McKenzie. The season will feature World Premieres by Michelle Dorrance and Jessica Lang, as well as centennial tribute performances of Jerome Robbins's and Leonard Bernstein's Fancy Free. In his first work for ABT, McGregor created a new scenario set to Igor Stravinsky's The Rite of Spring. AFTERITE is brought to the stage by set and costume designer Vicki Mortimer, with video designs by Ravi Deepres and lighting by Lucy Carter, all of whom have previously collaborated with McGregor. The World Premiere of AFTERITE features Guest Artist Alessandra Ferri. The Spring Gala will also feature a pièce d'occasion by tap dance choreographer Michelle Dorrance. Co - commissioned with the Vail Dance Festival, the World Premiere by Dorrance is her first work for ABT.
