Smoke Fairies release their first new album in four years today: Darkness Brings The Wonders Home. The set is the sixth studio LP from the band. Smoke Fairies are Jessica Davies and Katherine Blamire who first met at school in their native England and for this LP they traveled to our side of the pond to record in Seattle with producer Phil Ek (The Black Angels, Fleet Foxes, The Shins.) Over the course of a rigorous month-long session they adopted a purposely intimate approach to achieving a singular sonic tone.

The organizers behind California's favorite winter film festival, Mammoth Film Festival, are thrilled to announce their 2020 lineup. The five-day event will showcase world and U.S. premieres, exclusive cuts, and special screenings including the world premiere of Tony Hawk's highly-anticipated feature documentary PRETENDING I'M A SUPERMAN. Red Bull Theater (Jesse Berger, Artistic Director | Jim Bredeson, Managing Director) today announced the New York premiere of All the Devils Are Here - How Shakespeare Invented the Villain, a dazzling exploration of Shakespeare's two decade-long investigation of evil with Tony Award nominee Patrick Page. The second production in Promethean Theatre Ensemble's 2019-20 season of plays exploring the rights and roles of women in society will be MRS. WARREN'S PROFESSION - George Bernard Shaw's satirical take on the limited opportunities for women in late 19th Century British society. One of Shaw's earliest plays, it is representative of Shaw's gift for delivering biting social criticism with humor. Promethean's production will be performed in a brand-new world premiere adaptation by Melanie Spewock that streamlines Shaw's text and makes it more woman-centric, focusing on the mother-daughter relationship between Mrs. Warren and her daughter Vivie.

Calixto Bieito's critically praised production of Carmen returns to the London Coliseum this January.

The Sauk, Hillsdale County's community theatre, is excited to announce the 2020 season of theatrical productions that includes family-friendly musicals, a Tony Award-winning drama and a world premiere.
