The Pittsburgh Cultural Trust is proud to present the fifth annual Pittsburgh JazzLive International Festival (PJLIF) on June 19 - 21, 2015.

On April 9-12, Jazz at Lincoln Center's Billie Holiday Festival will honor Billie Holiday celebrating an artist of monumental innovation on the centennial of her birth. The Billie Holiday Festival will include three nights of concerts and pre-concert discussions at Frederick P. Rose Hall, home of Jazz at Lincoln Center, located at Broadway at 60th Street, New York, New York.

ETHEL, America's Groundbreaking Indie-Classical String Quartet, Announces Winter/Spring 2015 Season.

GRANVILLE, Ohio—Denison University announces the launch of its first Ensemble-in-Residence program, a collaboration between the Department of Music and the Vail Series. The Ensemble-in-Residence program will engage the entire campus and the greater community in an exploration of music and other academic disciplines. The program will host the renowned string quartet ETHEL for the 2014-2015 academic year.

Tonight, June 3rd, at Aria in Minneapolis, The Saint Paul Chamber Orchestra's Liquid Music series, along with Schubert Club Mix and American Composers Forum, presents adventurous string quartet ETHEL performing Documerica, a multimedia presentation featuring new music from a wide range of composing talents.

On December 10, 2013 Diane Schuur turned 60. She also completed her first-ever recording in homage to her two most important and influential mentors: Stan Getz (who discovered her at the Monterey Jazz Festival in 1979) and Frank Sinatra, whose artwork hangs prominently in her Palm Springs home. Entitled I Remember You (With Love to Stan and Frank), the album of twelve songs, all previously recorded by Getz or Sinatra, or both, was produced by Diane and her new manager, Mary Ann Topper, at Avatar Studios in New York, and is set for release on Jazzheads, June 10, 2014. It also features a stellar cast of musicians, including: Alan Broadbent (arrangements/piano), Roni Ben-Hur and Romero Lubambo (guitars), Joel Frahm (saxophone) , Ben Wolfe (bass) and Ulysses Owens Jr. on drums.

South Florida's premier modern jazz organization is privileged to feature the Christian McBride Trio. Mr. McBride is at the zenith of modern acoustic and electric bassists. Best known as a jazz musician, he also is in tremendous demand in several genres. The Saint Paul Chamber Orchestra's pioneering Liquid Music series announces its 2013-14 schedule of events. This is the second season for Liquid Music, a series that seeks to expand the world of classical music through innovative new projects, boundary-defying artists, and unique presentation formats. Each program features new works, world or regional premieres, or new collaborations including many artists working together for the first time.

The Kurt Elling Quartet with John McLean will perform July 29 at 7:30 pm at the Otesaga Hotel in Cooperstown, NY, as part of the Cooperstown Summer Music Festival. Grammy-winner Elling will perform jazz standards as well as songs from his new album, The Gate.
