Outside Mullingar was nominated for a Tony for Best Play during the 2014 season. Playwright John Patrick Shanley won both the Tony and the Pulitzer Prize for his play Doubt (produced at PTC in 2007) and won an Academy Award for his screen play for the film Moonstruck.

Regent's Park Open Air Theatre has announced full casting for Anton Chekhov's The Seagull, which begins rehearsals today, Monday 11 May. Celebrated as one of the most important plays of the nineteenth century, Regent's Park Open Air Theatre have commissioned a new version by Torben Betts to mark the 120th Anniversary of Chekhov's original play. The Seagull will run at the iconic theatre from 19 June - 11 July.

Today, 11 February, Blackadder and Time Team star Sir Tony Robinson opens Re-staging Revolutions at Camden Archives, an exhibition celebrating the alternative theatre movement of the sixties, seventies and eighties. The exhibition runs until 10 May. Other speakers include Ian Saville: socialist conjuror extraordinaire and John Ashford: first Theatre Editor of Time Out and Theatre Programmer at the ICA.

Tony Robinson will star as Kenneth Grahame, who narrates the Royal Opera House's production of The Wind in the Willows, in the ROH's first commercial transfer to London's West End. This well-loved story is brought to life through song, music, dance and puppetry. The production, directed and choreographed by Will Tuckett, will run at the Duchess Theatre from tonight 11 December 2013 - Saturday 1 February 2014.

Leading Suffolk theatre company Red Rose Chain bring Fallen in Love, the story of Anne Boleyn's incestuous relationship with her brother to the site of Anne's trial, execution and final resting place, the Tower of London. This unique theatrical event runs from May 17 to June 16 and will be performed in the Banqueting Suite of the New Armouries. Written and directed by Red Rose Chain's founder and director, Joanna Carrick, this is a story of love, betrayal, jealousy and treason.
