Rubicon Theatre Company, Ventura’s non-profit professional theatre company, will continue the company’s 2022-2023 Season with the World Premiere of LONESOME TRAVELER: GENERATIONS, conceived by George Grove and James O’Neil, with musical direction by Rick Dougherty and George Grove and direction by Rubicon Co-Founder James O’Neil.

Catch what’s on stage at the Spencer Theater this Summer Season 2022, a popping 13-week calendar of live music, special events and dining fun. The vibrant line-up includes everything from traditional western swing, contemporary folk, gospel and classic country, iconic rock and pop superstars, award-winning Mediterranean (flamenco/Greek) guitar, folk and surf rock legends, full-stage tributes, and children’s musical theatre.

Narcissus Avenue in West Palm Beach. Free valet parking will be provided.

Next week, the Raymond F. Kravis Center for the Performing Arts is presenting the Boca-based jazz singer  Deborah Silver—who has been praised by recording icon Quincy Jones for her “strong and sultry vocals (that) are seductive and soul-soothing.”

Ahead of his one-night-only concert at Carnegie Hall, Bob Anderson, star of ONE MORE FOR THE ROAD the award-winning authentic reenactment concert honoring the music of Frank Sinatra, will make a special visit with the students at the Frank Sinatra School of the Arts in New York City this Wednesday, December 8.

The East Coast Music Hall of Fame has announced that due to COVID-19, in the interest of the well-being of all those who will be attending their two-day event, they have rescheduled the Awards Gala and all related activities at Harrah's Resort Atlantic City from its regularly scheduled 2020 date to Monday, June 7th, 2021 & Tuesday, June 8th, 2021.

Frank Sinatra loved to play along with the TV game show Jeopardy. Here's a Jeopardy question .....What little boy in Chicago, used to shine shoes in taverns while a jukebox in the background played Sinatra tunes and then became Frank Sinatra's opening act on tour for 14 years? He was also MC and pallbearer at Mr. Sinatra's funeral.

One can tell when someone is playing music mechanically and simply reading notes on a page or if what you are hearing is something greater than that; as if something divine is coming through the performer's soul. With guitarist Sean Harkness, it most certainly is the later. Although quite an accomplished professional composer, arranger and guitarist, Sean's playing has an additional element; the a?oeIta?? factor that is so hard to describe, but you know it when you see or hear it.

The Las Vegas entertainment community has banded together and recorded a new song, a?oeNeeding Each Other,a?? along with an accompanying video. The song and video can be seen online on YouTube and was created as a fundraiser to assist the entertainment community.

On Friday, January 17, I had the pleasure of seeing 8-TRACK THE SOUNDS OF THE 70S at the Connecticut Cabaret Theatre in Berlin, CT.  This new musical conceived by Rick Seeber constitutes performances of mainstream United States chart-topping songs from the 1970s.  Incredibly talented singers Jason Beaulieu, Dan Frye, Emily Gray, and Erica Whitfield have excellent stage chemistry and vocal harmony with each other in this musical event under the wonderful direction of Kris McMurray.

The red carpet will be rolled out for a two-day event taking place Tuesday, June 9th, 2020 through Wednesday, June 10th, 2020 at Harrah's Resort Atlantic City. This year's event will honor Artists in various categories with 'Lifetime Achievement Award' recipients to include; Tony Orlando, Neil Sedaka, Gloria Gaynor, Dionne Warwick, Cousin Brucie, Jay and The Americans, The Manhattan Transfer, and Gary US Bonds. Previous 2019 inductees included legendary music names such as; Connie Francis, Chubby Checker, Bobby Rydell, Frankie Avalon, Lou Christie, Jay Siegel and more.
