BIRDLAND THEATER will present an evening with Broadway veteran Sean McDermott – star of Falsettos, Starlight Express, Grease, and the original cast of Miss Saigon – on Monday, April 17 at 8:30 PM.

The multi-talented Bert Rodriguez will debut a brand-new solo cabaret - The Rhythm Is Gonna Get You - in the theatre's Spotlight Cabaret Series, April 19 and 20, 2023. 

On Saturday, March 25, 2023, entertainment powerhouse AEG Presents and Concerts West, a division of AEG Presents, will celebrate 20 momentous years in Las Vegas.

The 2022-2023 HB Artist Faculty Performance Series concludes on Friday, April 14, 2023, at 7:30 pm with a performance of Clara Schumann’s Piano Trio in G minor, Op. 17 performed by violinist April Johnson, cellist Peter Seidenberg and pianist Tomoko Uchino as well as a selection of jazz standards, improvisations and originals performed by jazz pianist Jamie Reynolds and saxophonist Ed Palermo.

BIRDLAND JAZZ CLUB will present award-winning vocalist Karen Akers, who returns to the venue with the special evening “About Time,” on Monday, April 24 at 7:00 PM.

The fully renovated State Theatre New Jersey presents An Evening with David Sedaris on Tuesday, April 4 at 7:30pm. Sedaris will do a book signing after the show for all ticket holders. Tickets range from $29-$69.  

Saturday, March 25th, powerhouse vocalist Chris Pinnella (formerly of Trans-Siberian Orchestra) and his 10-Piece Orchestra will present an all new evening of Classics Reimagined. The night will showcase an electric list of songs that have stood the test of time plus some new classics as well.

​​​​​​​American Ballet Theatre (ABT), one of the greatest dance companies in the world, returns to the Auditorium Theatre (Chicago's landmark stage at 50 E. Ida B. Wells Drive) with a diverse mixed rep program featuring both classics and contemporary works, for three performances only Friday-Sunday, April 14-16, 2023. 

BIRDLAND THEATER will present The Kinsey Sicks – America’s Favorite Dragapella Beautyshop Quartet – in the world premiere of “Drag Queen Storytime Gone WILD!” on Monday, April 10 at 8:30 PM.

The lineup includes Grace Jones, Pat Metheny, NxWorries (Anderson .Paak and Knxwledge,) Robert Glasper, BJ The Chicago Kid and Bruce Hornsby & The Noisemakers, as well as a stop on legendary blues guitarist and singer Buddy Guy’s Damn Right Farewell tour. The Little Mermaid soundtrack is now available for pre-order and pre-save ahead of its digital release on May. Featuring all-new performances by the cast, the soundtrack is set to feature four new original songs that the original film's composer Alan Menken co-wrote with Lin-Manuel Miranda.
