The Tennessean has reported that Don McLean has announced plans for a feature documentary, a?oeThe Day The Music Died: The Story Behind Don McLeana??s American Pie,a?? set for release at the end of 2021. The documentary will inform a new stage play that will revolve around McLeana??s deep catalog, as well as a childrena??s book based on 'American Pie'.
