Terrific New Theatre, under Executive Director Tam DeBolt, announces a 34th season featuring offerings that are innovative by local community theater standards and are firsts in the storied history of TNT.

Three-time Pulitzer Prize-Winner Thornton Wilder's The Skin of Our Teeth begins performances on Thursday, July 11 at The Fitzpatrick Main Stage (83 East Main Street) in Stockbridge, MA, and runs through August 3.

My first encounter with Southern Belles - two one-act plays by Tennessee Williams - was actually over a year ago. I wasn't yet working at the King's Head Theatre. Jamie Armitage, the director - and also the director of the smash-hit SIX - and I were working together at another venue and he was telling me about this pretty special play he found, And Tell Sad Stories of the Deaths of Queens.

The Harold Clurman Laboratory Theater Company (Tom Oppenheim, Artistic Director) has announced a limited engagement of William Shakespeare's King Lear. Under the direction of Nike Doukas, the production will feature H. Richard Green in the title role, Mark Bramhall as Gloucester, Stephen Caffrey as Kent, and David Sussman as The Fool. Opening is set for Thursday, July 18, at 8pm.

Bay Street Theater is pleased to announce the World Premiere of SAFE SPACE begins tomorrow, June 25, and runs through July 21. This is a new play by Alan Fox; directed by three-time Tony Award winner Jack O'Brien (All My Sons, Henry IV, Hairspray, The Coast of Utopia).

They all invented themselves in the famous Paris atelier of two American expats, Gertrude Stein and Alice B. Toklas. Gertrude Stein and a Companion, running from July 3rd - 14th, explores the 40-year love affair between these two great minds and enduring artists of the 20th century.

I had never seen a professional production of HELLO, DOLLY! until now. I recall the 1969 film with Walter Matthau and Barbra Streisand. I did see the play it is based on, THE MATCHMAKER by Thornton Wilder at the Williamstown Theatre Festival and really did not enjoy it.

This summer, seek adventure with Theophilus North as he sets out to see the world in the first of two plays that make up Dog Days Theatre, presented by the FSU/Asolo Conservatory. Professional and student actors take the stage in tandem to bring these two shows to life.

Will Geer's Theatricum Botanicum continues its mission to resist and struggle against the forces of inequality and injustice by presenting socially conscious classics that speak to today. A new version of Henrik Ibsen's An Enemy of the People, freely adapted by artistic director Ellen Geer and co-directed by Geer and Melora Marshall, joins Theatricum's 2019 summer repertory season beginning Saturday, June 22.
