Global Climate Storytelling Project WE HEAR YOU—A CLIMATE ARCHIVE Launches

​​​​​​​Dramaten (The Royal Dramatic Theatre of Sweden), The Earth Commons-Georgetown University's Institute for Environment and Sustainability, The Embassy of Sweden in Washington, DC, and The Laboratory for Global Performance and Politics announce the launch of We Hear You-A Climate Archive, co-conceived by Caitlin Nasema Cassidy and Jacob Hirdwall.

The Shed to Present North American Premiere of Wu Tsang's MOBY DICK; OR, THE WHALE

The Shed will present MOBY DICK; or, The Whale, a new feature-length silent film by award-winning filmmaker and visual artist Wu Tsang. With original music composed by Caroline Shaw and Andrew Yee with Asma Maroof and conducted by Daniela Candillari, its presentation at The Shed will be performed live by Members of the New York Philharmonic.

Claudia Rankine's HELP Comes to The Shed in March

After closing during previews two years ago due to the pandemic, this March The Shed presents the world premiere of Help, a new play by acclaimed author and poet Claudia Rankine (Just Us, Citizen: An American Lyric), directed by Obie Award–winner Taibi Magar (Twilight: Los Angeles, 1992, Signature Theater; Is God Is, Soho Rep). Help stars April Matthis (Toni Stone, Roundabout Theatre; Fairview, Soho Rep).

Wheeler Walker Jr. Announces New Album & Tour Dates

Redneck country all-star and Nashville’s public enemy #1, Wheeler Walker Jr., is back from a forced retirement announcing today a new album, tour, and first sold-out appearance at The Ryman Auditorium on April 14th. Referred to as, “The Mother Church of Country Music,” Ryman will be his biggest live show to date.

TEDxBroadway TEN Announces Speakers and New Date

TEDxBroadway organizers announced the initial list of speakers for TEDxBroadway TEN and a new date for the hybrid event – at New World Stages and exclusively livestreaming on Stellar. On Tuesday, May 17, at 1pm Eastern a global community of changemakers will all gather to consider the central mission question, “What’s the BEST Broadway can be?”

MOCA Appoints Adeze Wilford as Curator

Shayne Oliver Presents Anonymous Club's HEADLESS: The Demonstration At The Shed

Commissioned by The Shed, Anonymous Club, led by designer and creative director Shayne Oliver, presents HEADLESS: The Demonstration, a three-night live exhibition spanning music, fashion, and performance in The Shed's Griffin Theater on February 10, 11, and 12 during New York Fashion Week. 

Björk to Bring Acclaimed Cornucopia Production to California

Cornucopia, directed by Lucrecia Martel and Björk with co-creative director James Merry, made its world premiere at The Shed in spring 2019 as part of its inaugural season in its largest space, The McCourt. Media artist Tobias Gremmler created the digital visual design in an environment created by stage designer Chiara Stephenson.
