The Broad Stage presents Manual Cinema's Mementos Mori -  a dynamic, beguiling meditation on death and dying. A cast of six puppeteers use hundreds of paper puppets, seven overhead projectors, two cameras and three screens to create a live "movie" in front of the audience.

Magic Theatre (Loretta Greco, Artistic Director and Cierra Cass, Interim Managing Director) announced today the complete cast of Mfoniso Udofia's World Premiere In Old Age, the Company's first production of 2019. In Old Age will be directed by Victor Malana Maog. JOE'S PUB will present the return of Justin Sayre's camp-horror-soap-opera Ravenswood Manor on Saturday, April 27 and Sunday, April 28 at 9:30 PM. Ravenswood Manor will be presented episodically with episodes 7 thru 9 on Saturday, and episodes 10 through 12 on Sunday.

ACTUALLY, WE'RE F**KED, a new play by Matt Williams, will be given its world-premiere production at Cherry Lane Theatre (38 Commerce St. in Manhattan), with previews starting on February 26 prior to an official opening on March 7, it has been announced by Cherry Lane founder Angelina Fiordellisi and artistic director Seri Lawrence. The play is directed by John Pasquin, with whom Mr. Williams has a long-standing collaboration, including the popular television series "Home Improvement."

A 2017 finalist for the Pulitzer Prize for Drama, Sarah Delappe's critically acclaimed new play, The Wolves, takes the stage February 27 in Northwest Arkansas. As the lights dimmed and the actors took the stage, the audience was quick to note that RENT would not be like many other musicals that graced the stage. Indeed, the story of how RENT came to be an award winning musical is as much of the story as the script and songs conceived by the late Jonathan Larson. Larson called it his breakthrough work, "Hair for the 90's" wishing to "bring musical theater to the MTV generation" (New York Times, 1997).

The mysterious Celine (nee De La Croix)* is an up-and-coming avant-garde dance artist based in Brooklyn whose debut art film feature Magnum Opus: Resurgere Ex Cineribus will be screened at a one-night-only event today, February 12, 2019 at 7:30pm and hosted by the Kickstarter's Northside Williamsburg headquarters (58 Kent Street, Brooklyn, NY 11222.) The film's Latin title translates to "I Will Rise From the Ashes" and it chronicles the striving creative's re-emergence onto the art world after a bitter experience of a failed artistic venture. Quintessence Theatre Group, a professional classic theatre company located in Philadelphia's Mt. Airy neighborhood, takes on Shakespeare's greatest tragedy this spring. KING LEAR, a searing drama about the dangers of absolute power, comes to Quintessence from March 19, 2019 through April 20, 2019. Opening night is Saturday, March 23 at 7:30PM.

After his hit production of King Charles III, David Muse returns to Shakespeare Theatre Company to direct Shakespeare's Richard the Third, a mesmerizing chronicle of the megalomaniac's rampage to the throne. The production will play at Sidney Harman Hall (610 F Street NW) from February 5-March 10, 2019.
