Denzel Westley-Sanderson Will Direct THE IMPORTANCE OF BEING EARNEST

It was announced yesterday at a special Royal Theatrical Support Trust (RTST) ceremony that the winner of the RTST Sir Peter Hall Director Award 2021, Denzel Westley-Sanderson, will direct a new production of Oscar Wilde's The Importance of Being Earnest – in a co-production between English Touring Theatre (ETT), Leeds Playhouse and Rose Theatre.

New Cast Announced For HAMILTON in London

Jeffrey Seller and Cameron Mackintosh, producers of the West End production of Lin-Manuel Miranda's HAMILTON, have announced new casting for the show who will have their first performance at the Victoria Palace Theatre on 21 June 2022 where tickets are currently on sale to 1 October 2022.

LIFE OF PI Extends Booking Through 30 October 2022

Paines Plough Announces Roundabout 2022 Programme and Edinburgh Festival Fringe Run

Artistic Directors Charlotte Bennett and Katie Posner have today announced Paines Plough's Roundabout programme for 2022. The award-winning pop-up venue will be premiering three new plays in rep at Summerhall as part of Edinburgh Festival Fringe for the first time since 2019. As well as work from three trailblazing playwrights Dipo Baruwa-Etti, Sami Ibrahim and Laura Lindow, Summerhall will also see the return of Chris Bush's critically acclaimed play HUNGRY which premiered at Roundabout last year.

Adam Gillen will play King Henry VIII, returning to the Globe stage following his acclaimed performance of Mercutio in Romeo & Juliet in 2021. Adam’s other theatre credits include Killer Joe (starring Orlando Bloom) in 2018 for which he was Olivier nominated for Best Supporting Actor, and the National Theatre’s acclaimed production of Amadeus, opposite Lucian Msamati.

Park Theatre Announces Autumn Season

Dame Maureen Lipman and an adaptation of a Christopher Isherwood novel will appear on the Park200 stage in two shows announced for Park Theatre's Summer to Autumn season. Further notable names in the season include House of Cards writer Bill Cain and Olivier Award-winner and The Shark is Broken director Guy Masterson.

Theaterworks Hartford to Stage NEW WORK FESTIVAL

TheaterWorks Hartford is thrilled to present the 2022 edition of its New Work Festival. This free festival, running May 16–22, explores and celebrates new voices in American Theater. With workshops, a panel discussion, and talk-backs—both in-person and online—the New Work Festival strengthens TheaterWorks Hartford’s commitment to the development of important new plays. Participants include playwrights Brooke Berman, Melissa Crespo & Sarah Saltwick, Terry Guest, and James Anthony Tyler who are joined by directors Shariffa Ali, Michael Barakiva, Mikael Burke, and Caitlin Sullivan. Leading the tour as Cady Heron will be current Standby for the role, English Bernhardt, current ensemble member, Morgan Ashley Bryant as Karen Smith, Jasmine Rogers as Gretchen Wieners, Lindsay Heather Pearce as Janis Sarkisian, and Adriana Scalice as Standby for Cady, Regina, and Janis.
