Prospect Theater Company announces that tickets are now on sale for the rest of its 2018 line-up of performances.  During the 18-19 Season, Prospect celebrates its 20th year of continuous operations, and the company is proud to continue in its mission to develop and produce compelling new musical theater by emerging artists. 

The Brick Theater, Inc. and Doghouse Ensemble Theatre present AS YOU LIKE IT, adapted and directed by Catherine Andre (originally by William Shakespeare). As part of The Festival of Lies, AS YOU LIKE IT will play at The Brick (579 Metropolitan Ave, Brooklyn) June 23 at 1pm, June 25 at 7pm, and July 1 at 1pm.

Brian Lowdermilk, half of the musical theater writing duo Kerrigan & Lowdermilk, will conduct songwriting and song interpretation masterclasses at Maybank Synergy Center, 7th Ave. cor. 28th St., Taguig City, Manila, from June 15 to 16.

My True Colors Festival (MTCF) is pleased to present its lineup for 2018, including Saturday Church (June 14, 7 PM), a mini musical about a shy 14-year-old-boy struggling with gender identity and religion. He escapes the burden of his new responsibilities as "man of the house" after the death of his father and finds his passion in the process through voguing and the NYC ball scene, with the help of a vibrant transgender community where he is enlisted into Saturday Church, a program for at-risk L.G.B.T.Q. youth.

New York Theatre Workshop (NYTW) announces the full cast and creative team for the New York Premiere of THE HOUSE THAT WILL NOT STAND by MarcusGardley (X: Or, Betty Shabazz v. The Nation), directed by NYTW Usual Suspect and Obie Award winner Lileana Blain-Cruz (Red Speedo; Pipeline).

The time has come for the 63rd Annual Drama Desk Awards, hosted by Michael Urie, June 3 (8:00 PM) at The Town Hall in Manhattan.

The second company completing their residency this spring is anecdota, presenting the world premiere of SAVED AGAIN AND BY HIM, a solo show created and performed by Erica Fae, with words by Sarah Wakefield, made in collaboration with Nicholas Galanin, running May 23 - June 3, 2018.

This two-year residency offers companies an artistic home for the development and presentation of a new work. Each residency culminates with a world premiere production. Now in its fifth year, the Archive Residency is a collaboration between New Ohio Theatre and IRT Theater (like minded neighbors in the historic Archive Building in the West Village).

On Sunday night at the 6th annual #giveback concert, Broadway Unlocked raised $48,000 to benefit the Crime Victims Treatment Center at WNYC's The Greene Space.

THE GREEN ROOM 42 - Broadway's newest intimate concert venue - will present the music and lyrics of JAIME CEPERO on Sunday, May 20 at 9:30 PM for the latest of the venue's "New Writers" series.

Broadway Unlocked founder Jessica Ryan announced today that the performance lineup for the sixth annual #giveback concert slated for Sunday, May 13 at 7.30pm at WNYC's The Greene Space (44 Charlton Street) has been updated.  Along with producers Kelly Weaver and Mike Borges, Broadway Unlocked is bringing Broadway favorites together to perform and raise funds for the Crime Victims Treatment Center, a not-for-profit organization committed to helping people heal from violent crime.  The live concert is directed by Nathan Tysen (Tuck Everlasting, Amelie).
