The fourth season of the acclaimed Monday Nights, New Voices series continues April 14th at the Duplex Cabaret Theatre.

The Manhattan Association of Cabarets & Clubs (MAC), this year celebrating its 25th Anniversary, presents some of its top up-and-coming talent in NEW FACE SHOWCASE, an evening of comedy and song - the second showcase of its kind produced by MAC, on Friday, March 28th at 6:30pm at Don't Tell Mama.

Tonight, Friday March 7 at 10:30PM, 'The After Party' is thrilled to welcome Liz McCarney (Taboo) plus host a birthday party for Kenny Holcomb at the West Bank Café (located within the Laurie Beechman Theatre (407 w42nd St.). Admission is free.

Jonathan Whitton (2008 Bistro Award Winner -Outstanding Debut) returns to the Laurie Beechman Theatre on Thursday, March 27 with the debut of his new cabaret evening: 'Something Beautiful.'

1959 was a heck of a good year for Broadway overtures.  The majestic trumpet fanfare and lowdown bump and grind of Gypsy's is generally regarded as the best in musical theatre, but there was also the rousingly rhythmic curtain-raiser to Fiorello! and, my personal favorite, Philip J. Lang's beautiful interpretation of Bob Merrill's music for Take Me Along, which touches on so many moods of the show while continually building the toe-tapping climax of The catchy title tune.

The second act of Stephen Sondheim and James Lapine's 1984 musical, Sunday In The Park With George is centered on a then-contemporary artist/inventor named George who has created a series of machines called chromolumes, which electronically fill rooms with color and light. His latest, 'Chromolume #7' is intended to present a variation on themes inspired from Georges Seurat's revolutionary work of pointillism 'Sunday Afternoon on the Island of La Grande Jatte' (1884-86), the creation of which is the subject of the musical's first act. When a technical glitch short circuits the machine and causes a temporary delay in the chromolume's premiere presentation, George sheepishly explains to those gathered, 'No electricity, no art.'

The fourth season of the acclaimed Monday Nights, New Voices series continues March 10 at the Duplex Cabaret Theatre. Hosted by The Light in the Piazza's Victoria Clark and Aaron Lazar, the 'New Voices' concert will celebrate the new talents of Kimberly Chesser, Marisa Dargahi, Leslie Henstock, Addi McDaniel and Sara Weiss. Show time is 7 PM. Composer and lyricst Jeremy Schonfeld will be the evening's guest composer.

The acclaimed series, 'Monday Nights, New Voices,' will continue February 18 at 7PM at The Duplex, as some of Broadway's beloved stars come out to celebrate their favorite 'New Voices.'

On Monday, February 18, New York Theatre Barn will present two debuts at its next installment of NYTB at the Duplex, a series that highlights new composers, lyricists and performers. Cait Doyle in 'Hot Mess in Manhattan' and new musical 'Everything'.

Jonathan Whitton returns to the Laurie Beechman Theatre on February 15 for a one-night-only musical event with an evening of new music.

There will be in concert on March 2 9:30pm at the Duplex (61 Christopher Street) featuring the songs from composer/writer Bobby Cronin. There is a $10 cover and a 2 drink minimum

On Monday, January 14 New York Theatre Barn will kick off 2008 with its monthly series dedicated to promoting new writers, composers and performers, 'NYTB at the Duplex' with a collection of cut-songs from hit musicals.
