The fourth season of the acclaimed series, Monday Nights, New Voices, starts January 21 at the Duplex Cabaret Theatre with Ann Harada and Jonathan Reid-Gealt.  Barbara Anselmi is musical director.

Ann Harada, who originated the role of Christmas Eve in the smash Broadway hit Avenue Q, hosts the evening, which features the talents of 'New Voices' Garrit Guadan, Megan Loomis, Jesse Kissel, Natalie Weiss and David Weitzer. Show time is 7 PM.

This year, Monday Nights, New Voices will focus on celebrating New Composers and Lyricists, in addition to celebrating New Voices. This month's up-and-coming composer/lyricist will be Jonathan Reid-Gealt.

Composer Scott Alan launched the Monday Nights, New Voices series to "showcase some of today's brightest new talent in New York."

Ann Harada originated the role of Christmas Eve in Avenue Q on Broadway, for which she received an Outer Critics Circle Award for Best Ensemble  and the Broadway.com Audience Favorite Award for Best Featured Actress in a Musical.  She reprised her role in the original London company of Avenue Q at the Noel Coward Theatre.  She recently appeared as Mme. Thenardier in the revival of Les Miserables.

Currently Jonathan Reid Gealt is working on his song cycle, "Forward." There have been many changes to the show over the last few months and he is working towards a 29-hour reading later this spring to see how all the changes shape up. The "Forward" demo recording has gained buzz online and around the city with such Broadway heavyweights as Kelli O'Hara, Liz Callaway, Lauren Kennedy, Shoshana Bean, Michael McElroy, Jonathan Groff, Michael Arden, Lewis Cleale, Tituss Burgess, Max von Essen, Marty Thomas, and more! Jonathan's music has been featured in concerts and venues around the city including UNSUNG 2007, Miracle on 13th Street, Performers for Peace, The MNNV series, The Laurie Beechman, The Duplex, The Triad, and the MAKOR. He has also written jingles for The Barn Theatre's 2003 summer season in Michigan. As well as a composer, Jonathan is also an accomplished performer.
