NYTB Presents 'Everything' New Musical at The Duplex 2/18
On Monday, February 18, New York Theatre Barn will present two debuts at its next installment of NYTB at the Duplex, a series that highlights new composers, lyricists and performers.
The evening will begin with "Hot Mess in Manhattan," a new cabaret from Cait Doyle. "Hot Mess in Manhattan" promises to be a night of off-beat tales of the city fiercely woven into pop, folk, and contemporary theatre jams. This frantic, yet unflappable new cabaret will be directed by Joe Barros with music direction and arrangements by Vince Peterson.
New York Theatre Barn will then present the premier of the new musical Everything. Everything, featuring music by Michael Watt and book and lyrics by Sophie Jaff, is the story of a wealthy married couple and the man who came between them.
This premiere will be directed by Tara Smith (producer of Broadway's Xanadu, book writer for the musical Piece) and feature the talents of Thom Sesma (The Times They Are A-Changin', Man of LaMancha), Sandy Binion (Jane Eyre, Make Me a Song) and Reed Prescott ("Grease: You're The One That I Want").
The Duplex Cabaret Theater is located at 61 Christopher Street at Seventh Avenue. Tickets are $10 with a two-drink minimum and the show begins at 9:30PM. For reservations please call 212-255-5438. Please visit www.NYTheatreBarn.org for further information.
